The only difference between Obama and Hillary
is here on DU.

They are cut from the same corporate cloth.

As far as the primary, I can safely say that Barack Obama is our nominee. Only his confession to beating hookers recently could rob him from the shot at the white house.

We are on McCain time in Iraq. America does not want another Vietnam. As long as our President is unwilling to admit defeat, we will fight on.

Mac, BO, and HRC ain't gonna admit defeat. They will win the war by fighting it smarter. They will stay the course.

3. Obama and Hillary will be better then the MAC (imho)
but they are not really revolutionary. Although I must admit, Obama talks pretty.

2. Barack is not the Messiah, Hilary is not Satan, they are both politicians
with their good points and bad points, and either is smarter than McLame.

5. that statement only points to a lack of perspicacity on the part
of the one making it. And a very simple minded way of looking at things. First of all, there's more to both candidates than their respective relationships with the corporate world. People are actually quite complex, dear.

And your speculation that they'll both stay the course in Iraq is based on the rankest sort of speculation. Not a shred of evidence needed, naturally

In addition, there are real differences in character and temperment- two things I find to be very important.

6. Pretty much correct.
However, even though they will continue to fight, we will not win in any measurable way.

And I can't see McCain fighting smart.

7. no, my bet would be that if obama becomes prez -- he gets us (more or less) out of iraq
even if some kind of residual force and 'region-ready' military capability "over the horizon" remains (a la Murtha plan)

9. Yep, I had that sinking feeling in my gut when Edwards dropped
out that the corporations have already won the White House. Although I think either Obama or Clinton will be much better that McCain who is a total corporate toady.

This is why Edwards has urged us to concentrate on the House and Senate, to get as many progressives as we can in office to gain a veto proof majority, no matter who is in office.

10. Quite right. Two moderates with scant differences in policy...but...
Obama is perceived to be a departure from politics-as-usual. As such, he can be pressured by the left to move beyond the tried and true and failed policies of the past.

With Hillary we get more of the same.

The best thing about Obama is that he's not a Clinton.
