http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iLc01ZNvG0

"You can vote for or against any candidate based on anything -- and we do that in America. You know, you don't like...oh say, somebody's hairstyle. It's whatever you choose."

Watch the video and decide for yourself what the "whatever you choose" was that Hillary was oh so cleverly hinting about.

I believe it is one of the most disgusting comments that I have ever heard from a politician.

5. Yup.
"It's okay to vote based on your prejudices." That's exactly what she was saying.

To be fair, I think she was equating voting choices with hairstyle choices.
Edited on Sun Apr-27-08 03:47 PM by MercutioATC
People have different tastes. She's not telling people to vote based on appearance, she's telling them that, like preference in hairstyles, voting preferences vary from person to person and people should vote their preferences.

(on edit)

Upon viewing the actual video of her saying this, I retract my above statement. I don't see her statement as racist, but I do agree that she approved setting your Presidential preference set so low as to include things like hairstyles.

12. Is that the official term?
I'm not sure I'd call Obama's hair frizzy.

7. If we voted on hairstyles, Edwards or Romney would have won
their respective party nominations.

Her hair is the least offensive thing about her, although Obama still beats her easily there too.

8. Who cares what she does or says anymore...
Hillary's campaign is all ready in the grave. She can't catch up
in the numbers. However, if she wants to endure one more round
of political chemotherapy--before her campaign is buried in the
campaign graveyard---who are we to stop her?

She's going to continue to be offensive, obtuse and whiny. We just
have to accept that and keep our eyes on the prize.

Wink, wink - if you don't like the way he looks - wink, wink - you don't have to vote for him.
