July 5, 2004--In California, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey finds Senator John F. Kerry with a14-point lead over President George W. Bush, 52% to 38%. In Election 2000, Bush lost California to Al Gore by 11 points.

The new survey data represents an improvement for Senator Kerry since our May survey. That earlier survey showed Kerry ahead of Bush, 49% to 41%. The new results have no impact on our Electoral College totals since California was already in the Kerry column.

1. I'm not sure if either campaign will spend much
on California at all.

GeeW has blown his wad and is back into a corner. He doesn't have the extra money anymore to mess with California

2. I think
The royal screwing California took from Dubyas buds at Enron may have a lot to do with it. Californians voted Davis out because he was fooled by Enron, and Caifornians had to pay for it, and punished Davis for it, But they have not forgotten who was doing the screwing, and who gove them the power to do so.

3. Let's not get complacent
Kerry will win CA but the big push by the GOP is to defeat out liberal Senator, Barbara Boxer. That is where the money and effort are going in CA.

I've signed up for her campaign and sent some money. Our esteemed Governator has said he will do whatever it take to see her defeated. He may not spend much time campaigning for the Chimp but he will be our there campaigning for Jones.

We cannot lose this seat. Bill Jones is a "moderate Repug" which means he will vote however Bush wants him to.

4. Your post reminded me to
go to Barbara Boxer's web page to donate to her re-election. However, I couldn't see any way to do that through her web page. Does anyone know a way to contribute to her campaign via the internet?

Thanks!

5. Boxer's website
www.boxer2004.org

On the right hand side of the main page there is an "Action" page with links to various activities. There's a link to contribute. :-)
