Edited on Sun Apr-27-08 08:38 PM by Maribelle
Who wasn't lied to? Who was just strategically mislead? Obama went to 'take on fox news' and all his groupies did not think Obama took on anything? Obama throws Kos under the bus?

That's not really the issue at hand, though of course that is how it's being framed. It is very difficult to acknowledge that your candidate deals with you in bad faith, and so I understand the emotional inability of Obama's most ardent supporters to realize that is what happened. I am an Obama supporter, but I don't think he's particularly trustworthy. The issue at hand is that Obama's campaign simply gave out false information to Greg Sargent to placate bloggers.

Oh be still my foolish heart.

Feet Of Clay

By Big Tent Democrat

When I discuss the Left Blogs' reaction to everything Barack Obama, I am past the point of pointing what I perceive as aspects of his political style that I find lacking. I am no longer pointing out Obama's feet of clay. I am pointing to the feet of clay of the Left blogs. Now Matt Stoller writes about Obama on Fox:

I think lost in all this nonsense is just how weakened we have become in all this. When we accept lies from our leaders and openly dismissive knocks from them, it destroys our core argument that Democrats need to have integrity and to stand up for themselves. No they don't. We don't stand up for ourselves and we let them lie to us without consequence.

Indeed.

35. On the issue of Wright
Edited on Sun Apr-27-08 09:30 PM by Wash. state Desk Jet
It has become ever so clear on the record that the wrong ways about wright continue to take it,s toll. Sometimes religion can be like a drug and when too much is never enough ,such as it seems in Wright,s case ,than the side effects take total control ,which means they can never get enough of anything. Obama is all over the news ,so Wright must be too.

After all the Obama,s got there because of Wright,s guidance in wright,s wrong ways about viewing it. And so Wright feels he should share in the lime light. It,s only right according to the Rev. Wright.Since he has faced the camara just the thought of being viewed by the millions of people is rev. Wright,s drug of choice at current. You will no doubt be seeing more and more of Wright .Because too much can never be enough.

But the question is ,does Wright have to be on television to be seen for the first time in your life?

38. I would imagine that Rev.Wright has not much else left to do these days but live in his mansion...
now that he has retired. It seems he feels he hid away long enough and is not about to go quietly into the night.

I think he has probably faced the camera often before, however, not with millions of viewers, just local Chicago coverage. If Obama does not receive the nomination Wright will quickly fade away. On the other hand, if Obama wins the nomination Wright will have to escape back to his hide away for another three months or so. So I don't blame Wright for taking in as much as he can at this moment in time.

I cannot watch him. Just the news snippets made me click the remote asap.

49. But can Wright hide from the truth about those lies?
And can the Obama,s hide from the influences of Wright? Consciously they can step away but what about the penetrating effects of Wrights wrong ways? What about sub conscious penetration of Wright,s ear banging ? And what about what slips out? Now here, you must consider that republicans are looking at these areas down the line when Obama will have no choice but to stand to the questioning. And there the question is ,do you really believe that Obama can swing votes?

What I am seeing is too many over confident Obama supporters around here. And it seems to me they now believe that they are invincible.

The swing vote is the most critical in this election and in the over all effort to bring the people togather.
And the republicans are just not buying the Obama myth.

What this is about is hard facts and thats what it,s all about.

The door of doom was opened and what was said will never go away.

Obama as it seems really doesn,t have the magic.

Leave the Armchair, Fisher-Price psychology to the TV pundits. Your attempt does you no justice.

Perhaps you might consider whether someone might take exception enough to want to 'set the record straight' after they've been taken out of context and demonized on national television?

Sometimes the plastic image is left out in the sun a little too long ,it than becomes more of a reminder of a Greek myth. It essiently melts and cracks ,it becomes a destorted image of something other than it,s original mold. Never again to be what it once was. What it was in shape and form becomes a distant memory but the child moves on.

Since the plastic industry came to market ,and toys did indeed make that happen,It was toys, straight to the bank on that number, the old toys changed, never again to to be seen, unless ofcourse you are in to antiques! However in the game of Tip It ,which is plastic history ,the dawning of the new age in toys,Obama has completly off set the game, and frankly ,it just isn,t the same.

And oh yes,I still have that old toy box!And that,s historical context!
A message from Peter Pan and Howdy Duty! The Old Lone ranger is in a state of shock because the mask he loaned out to the Obama camp was pulled off! And all the comic book hero,s are disinchanted because of it. And so you have yourselves to thank for that. Party poopers ,the lot of ya!

And until there is a winner, no one has lost. Sorry. Hillary could also win with a substantial portion of the uncommitted superdelegates, and then Obama will for a FACT have LOST.

This race is tied for all intents and purposes. It's all up to the supers.

44. tied?
Obama needs 4 out of every 10 remaining delegate. When was the last time Clinton won 60% of the delegates?

She smashed pased it in Arkansas with 77% of the delegates
She came close in ma by winning slightly more than 59%
She almost hit it in New York with just a fraction of a percent under 60%
She managed 63% in Oklahoma
Just a point and a fraction under 60% in Tennesee
She got almost 62% in Rhode Island.

For the sake of argument, lets say all of these met the goal. That is 6 times she pulled off wins of 60% or more out of 45 contests.

Do you really think she is going to take 60% of the remaining pledged delegates in ALL the remaining contests in NC, IN, WV, KY, SD, MT, OR, PR, GU, and still be able to convince 60% of the remaining super delegates to join her despite being in second place after that?

Tied? Hardly.

You been going to those "We're going to fester together" Hillary Clinton lovefest sites again? You know the ones that encourage votes for McCain and tell members to lie?

Obama supporters know he is a human, they know he is a politician, they know he does things they don't agree with.

Hillary supporters just look at her as a "Goddess" - personally I can't see why they support a Goddess of War, but then the Morrigan never did hold any attractions for me.
