He's lively, insightful, entertaining, passionate, makes you think, and even sings well. I'd attend his church. Recommend this thread if you would. (And turn on your TV sets!)

2. I absolutely would!
He speaks the truth! Those who say he doesn't are most likely those who think his passion is the equivalent of hate.

Last week at Mass, I started rocking a little back and forth when I was singing a hymn. My daughter tapped me and winked ... as if to remind me that I'm not in Obama's church. Our family jokes although we are loyal liberal Catholics that we wish that our Mass could get just a little bit more lively.

Rev. Wright is awesome. :-) :applause: I wish he'd come visit our Parish.

22. I've had the pleasure of attending many kinds of Christian churches
Back in my country, our family were members of the Apostolic church, but most Sundays we went to a Baptist church that was much, much closer. Since we went to Catholic school, I knew all about liturgy and masses, etc.

When we came to the US, we went to a church that spoke our language. Our intro to American churches began with televangelists, whom we thought were kinda strange. Then we started attending a black church. Talk about culture shock!!!!!!! The way they sang, the way they preached, it was so new and unlike anything we ever saw before.

Since meeting my husband, we've attended evangelical churches, but nothing like the Hagee/Parsley types. Contemporary Christian music took some getting used to, because I really love "sacred music", and the formality of Catholic masses. Yet, I also have come to love the "Gospel Music" tradition. What I listen to musically depends on my mood, but I enjoy all the diversity in God's children, and all our different approaches to worship.

11. What do you mean? Is the Black Church and Black pastors offensive to you?
Because different doesn't mean deficient, does it?

17. It has NEVER BEEN ABOUT COLOR. It is ALL about the words.
BO and his supporters conveniently like to forget the words and spin a bunch of TOTAL CRAP!!! Always flipping the DAMN RACE CARD; it is getting OLD!!

23. Everything is about race at this point...which is why Hillary Supporters
and HIllary sell the notion that Obama cannot win the GE because of his race to anyone who will listen. Race and racism is being exploited for political gain.

It would be if Obama and Obama supporters made the publica case and offered to superdelegates a reasoning that Clinton can't win because she's a woman. OBama nor his supporters would do that. But Hillary supporters seem to do it.

Nobody is stupid.

It's the racism, stupid.

24. My black friend once said to me...
"You are the whitest white man I have ever met." She said this, of course, in a very joking and loving way.

The Reverend's message tonight was one of unity, of love, and of hope. That we can be different without being deficient is something most of us know intrinsically, yet we are taught early on just the opposite. The world needs more knowledgeable, truthful, wonderful people like Rev. Jeremiah Wright to help us re-learn this simple, important truth.

So, as the whitest white man my friend has ever met, I can say without any reservation that it would be an honor to attend Reverend Wright's church. I already feel welcome.
