Hillary Clinton is Counting on the Votes of Disaffected Racist Republican Voters |
|
She is counting on their votes if she were nominated. She and her husband have purposefully said things and done things which distance themselves from black voters. The race baiting was all orchestrated to not only marginalize Obama, but to draw sympathy from racists who believe that blacks were just throwing the race card on two people "who did everything for those people". They not only get to remind people that Obama is black, they get to distance themselves from black people in general, AND be made to look like the victim. Many of these people are expressing shock and even outrage that black people could vote for Obama after all the "Clintons did for them". The Clintons get to then justify their continued hostility to the black community by continuing their racist campaign and it becomes justified in the MSM and by the racists who sympathize with them. Not only have that done this, but they have pitted certain groups against blacks, such as Hispanics and women. Now they are forcefully trying to get the "working class whites" on their bandwagon.
She believes that racist disaffected Republicans will be drawn to this, believing that the Clintons have "finally woken up to the errors of their ways". What other choice to they have? John "Amnesty" McCain with the "black" child? She believes she can pick off these voters, and therefore does not NEED black voters.
In doing so, Hillary Clinton will have to move more to the RIGHT to satisfy them. She has already done this. Please refer to her "totally obliterate " comment. Please see her stance on Social Security and raising the payroll cap. She talks about setting up a commission to study certain key Democratic issues, instead of clearly setting out her policy positions on these issues. She has already tried to distance herself from liberal groups like Moveon.org and the activist base.
She will not be able to stop there. She WILL move more to the right. She sticks with safe issues. She doesn't want to do anything about the influence of special interests groups and lobbyist in D.C. This makes Corporations very comfortable. She is NO REAL THREAT. Even her health care plan is not a threat because it DOES NOT do anything to reign in corporate domination of health care. It is not a "heath care plan" because it does nothing to make sure people get health care. It only MANDATES that people BUY health care. Why would a corporation be against MANDATING people buy MORE of their product? She is basically giving health care corporations a guaranteed profit with the assurance that the government will step in (if the health care is too expensive) to help supplement the payments of poor people. Her health care plan is the biggest SHAM ever. It is misleading to say the least.
Hillary Clinton is operating on a totally different playing field right now. She has given up on the black vote. Will she succeed if she were to become the nominee? Would the Democratic party stand for it? Would they agree to such a strategy?

1. This fight is a party realignment fight. Let the Clintoncrats go, like we let the Dixiecrats go. |

2. This is the plan. The DLC believes it is saving the party |
|
from all of these "special groups" that they believe has burdened the party since the 60s. Bill Clinton even remarked once that LBJ "made" all of those southern white men "Republicans" with the civil rights acts. They believe moving more to the right is the only way they can save the party, and thus save a political seat at the table for themselves. Forget about the American people and our problems. They want to save their political careers. They haven't learned anything at all. We don't have to become them to survive.

3. Had this discussion at my mothers today... |
|
...I think they called it "the Dixiecrat call". Even the same uncle that had said months ago to me "I'm never gonna get the folks out here to vote for a n* or a woman." He's on board, and I was surprised at how familiar he is with history. And I found out both my grandfather and grandmother were pretty active before they passed. These are first and second generation German catholics. We discussed the possible realignment that could be approaching, and there was an observation made, "perhaps it already has. What's occurring now is the fallout of an event that's already taken place."
Oh, and another thing I noticed... A touch of bitterness.

4. I really think her "you can vote based on anything...even hairstyles" |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 02:30 AM by dkf
is code for "it's okay to vote against a black person because of their race".
She's giving permission to vote based on prejudice.

5. That's exactly what that was. |
|
This "realignment" is why so many superdelegates are still undecided. Their decision is not just for a particular candidate, but for what kind of party they want to be apart of. You can just look at the people on each side to determine where people fall. You have the Kennedy, Kerry, Carter, most of the CBC, Daschele, Durbin on one side and then the warmongers and more conservative Dems on the other side. You already know who Dean, Boxer and Pelosi stand.
The Clintons are really trying to destroy the Democratic party as we know it. By doing this, they will also have to part with not only the special interests of blacks, but with women's issues, Hispanic issues, labor issues, liberal issues. They will basically just be Republican lite. They make me sick.

8. When you start your op.... |
|
"She is counting on their votes if she were nominated. She and her husband have purposefully said things and done things which distance themselves from black voters."
....with a bald-faced lie, expect more of the same through the rest of it. Obama worshipers, who adhere to the belief that he is a qualified person of good character for the office of president, seem to be resorting to more and more half-truths and plain out lying to bolster their candidate. Why can't O supporters just tell the truth, and state a few facts, rather than spend most of their time in the cesspool of hatred for other democrats? This has become their modus operandi, and even more bizarre, is the glee they spew their hatred with. If Obama is the nominee, and he loses to McCain, despite my Clinton supporter vote, his supporters will have themselves to blame for practicing what has been lowbrow tactics to most democrats for decades. Rah-rah, let's all give a cheer for hate. Thanks. quickesst

9. Clintophobia is a weird disorder. Its sufferers honest-to-God think they can read Hillary's mind. |

And when they tell us her thoughts, Hillary always comes out sounding like the villain in a bad comic book.

10. There is no need to read Hillary's mind |
|
Her thoughts, actions and agenda are as clear as a bell to me. And I ain't going for the okey-doke. Reading her mind is child's play, my man.

12. in your racist view, only racists could support Clinton. She leads in Democratic votes, though |
|
The obvious sham of your argument is that republicans have also shown up at the polls in favor of Obama, but by your logic, only the republicans for Clinton are racists.
Many blacks have supported Hillary Clinton so far, but it just makes sense to find the majority behind Obama's surging candidacy.
