"Obama took his name off the Michigan ballot because he knew Clinton would beat him"
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 07:32 AM by sparosnare
Yes, those words were uttered this morning by the one-and-only Howard Wolfson on MSNBC. He was asked about the legitimacy of Michigan's election since Obama's name wasn't on the ballot and that was his answer. Was he challenged on it? Of course not.

Just another lie from the Clinton campaign with a free pass from the MSM.

1. I thought Wolfson's head would spin off. He's
rewriting history as fast as he can, isn't he.

17. Swampie!
 How goes the battle? Did you listen to any great music this past weekend? Every year I tell myself I have to go, and then get distracted. The line-up looked spectacular. One day... and as always, your graphics inspire! :D

19. Way'at dawlin'!
 I didn't go to Jazz Fest because I have projects due and finals coming up. Good thing I didn't go because it poured down rain the whole weekend, and the entrance fees to the Fest cost FIFTY BUCKS now. We locals can no longer afford to pay this (I remember payin' 3 pesos when it started, and never more than 10). Now, Shell Oil Co. owns the festival, and they got rid of the Latin music, and Native American music stages, and instead added pop musicians from corporate radio. No more local beer either because Miller owns the vendor's rights. Apparently, the fest is no longer for locals, but for wealthy tourists. That's ok, I make my own music, and my samba band plays in the park - free for everyone! :D

I may go this Friday (if someone buys me a ticket :D), because I really wanna see Stevie Wonder.

A boy is born in hard time mississippi
Surrounded by four walls that aint so pretty
His parents give him love and affection
To keep him strong moving in the right direction
Living just enough, just enough for the city...ee ha!

His father works some days for fourteen hours
And you can bet he barely makes a dollar
His mother goes to scrub the floors for many
And youd best believe she hardly gets a penny
Living just enough, just enough for the city... yeah!

His sisters black but she is shonuff pretty
Her skirt is short but lord her legs are sturdy
To walk to school shes got to get up early
Her clothes are old but never are they dirty
Living just enough, just enough for the city...um hum

Her brothers smart hes got more sense than many
His patiences long but soon he wont have any
To find a job is like a haystack needle
Cause where he lives they dont use colored people
Living just enough, just enough for the city...

Living just enough...
For the city... ooh, ooh

His hair is long, his feet are hard and gritty
He spends his life walking the streets of new york city
Hes almost dead from breathing in air pollution
He tried to vote but to him theres no solution
Living just enough, just enough for the city...
Yeah, yeah, yeah!

I hope you hear inside my voice of sorrow
And that it motivates you to make a better tomorrow
This place is cruel no where could be much colder
If we dont change the world will soon be over
Living just enough, stop giving just enough for the city!!!!

La, la, la, la, la, la,
Da ba da da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da da da da

20. I had no idea it was so pricy, and
Miller :puke:? :D But I heard Stevie and Billy Joel would be making an appearance, two guys I'd love to see. I was in NO December 2006, and the whole place is expensive imo. If you go next weekend, do tell; I shall have to live vicariously through you.
And you have a samba band? Ahh, sounds lovely! :pals: Next time I get to NO, I will just have to look you up!

5. It's true. Whining and lying about it doesn't change the fact that it's true.

Not sure why you think it makes any difference WHY he did such a stupid thing.

Poor judgment.

21. I know the kindest thing I can say is that you're "mistaken."
:smoke:

"CNN's Senior Political Analyst Bill Schneider suggested the Democrats who withdrew may have calculated that it was simply in their best political interest to do so.

'If there's no campaign, the candidate most likely to win Michigan is Hillary Clinton," Schneider said. "Her Democratic rivals don't want a Clinton victory in Michigan to count. They want Iowa and New Hampshire, where they have a better chance of stopping Clinton, to count more.'"

10. It wasn't fair. Kucinich campaigned openly. Conyers campaigned for Obama, but Clinton won anyway.

24. You probably just registered to vote so I won't tell you how foolish your statement is
nor will I tell you to google for some enlightenment.

Clinton, Kucinich, Dodd and Gravel did not remove their names from the Michigan ballot:

"While Dodd's campaign is 'committed to the importance of Iowa and New Hampshire going first,' Dodd will not withdraw from the ballot, said Dodd's communications director Hari Sevugan.

'It does not benefit any of us, if we are the nominee, to pull our name off the ballot and slight Michigan voters,' Sevugan said."

30. Thank you so much for refraining from the insults.
You got me (not on the just registering to vote part, that's not true). Hillary Clinton's Michigan win was a stunning and decisive victory! Hopefully the super-delegates will "see the light" on the fairness of the Michigan primary soon!

8. Dishonesty.
The Clinton campaign has been disingenuous in practically every argument they've made.
This is yet another example. Dishonesty is their trademark. It's simply awful.

16. There isn't any lie they won't say
That is a really foul and disgusting one even for those liars. I guess if you vote for an illegal and unnecessary way that has killed thousands of people for no reason, and won't even say it was wrong to do it, you're capable of doing anything.

I hate to see the Clinton people becoming so desperate. I don't think I'd want to be Hillary right now. She must be really hurting. Seriously, this can't be easy for her.

22. My favorite lie: the popular vote
Obama wasn't even on the ticket in MI, HRC was the only candidate. And we're supposed to count that? Yet every single time a Hillbot is let loose on television it's the lie about how she's gotten more votes than anyone else counting FL & MI in the vote count when they did NOT count as agreed upon by ALL the candidates.

And do they get challenged on it by the media? Nope, they let them spin away furiously.

26. Actually she wasn't the only candidate
I think Dodd, Kucinich, Gravel were also there.

But she was the only one of the big three at the time. She knew this would happen.
