Axelrod: It's the media's fault for giving Wright a forum! |
|
Wright's on TV again this morning, and Axelrod is on Scabby's show whining that it's the media's fault for giving him air time!
I'm confused now. I thought Wright was the best thing since sliced bread and MLK? Why is this the media's fault?

4. What do you call it other than self-promotion? |
|
Axelrod was literally cringing. It was obvious he wishes Wright would STFU. I guess he's a racist now too.

7. How is it self-promotion.... |
|
...the media did not have to cover the speech - it would have occurred whether it was broadcast or not. The media is promoting it, not Wright.

21. True, to an extent ... |
|
But it was pretty clear that the media WOULD cover anything he said, in hopes that he'd lob a few more bombs. I think by self-promotion the poster meant Wright's current "PR tour" with Moyers, the Detroit speech, and now the National Press Club.

for a private citizen to defend oneself and his church, against a Public Lynching? You think he should lay down and allow anyone who wishes to kick him like a dog?

Wright is right, but Obama says Wright is wrong (especially about GD America). But some Obama folks say Wright is right, and Obama is right. I need that nausea patch when reading on DU sometimes.

15. I am disappointed in Axelrod. |
|
He should have called the media on its racism, prejudice and deliberate attempts to twist, distort and diminish Obama or anybody who is close to him. These so called reporters and journalists are getting payed hundreds of thousands of Dollars per year to tear down and character assassinate a person (in this case Obama) who is trying to make a difference in this world and who, willingly, puts himself through this shit in the process.
They have no allegiance to this country or its people or true concerns for its huge problems at this time. I am an Obama supporter, but I would be as outraged if Hillary were treated like this with no regard for the truth and only one motive, to tear down. It's time for Obama to speak to the media in another Philadelphia style speech. The media does not exist to inform and report, anymore, if ever, but to steer public opinion and to manipulate. It's done a good job of it so far with its complicitness in the Bush coup and the Iraq war.
Alexrod should have challenged them this morning and called them on their shit. Millions of tired and exasperated people would have applauded him.
