So since you say so, I accept that you are delusional.

I'm not sure if delusional people have momentary lapses into reality.

Must be grim if it happens.

14. There is a time and place for everything. Wright is on an ego trip, recognizing...
that he is hurting Obama's chances in the race to be President, but choosing to take advantage of his newfound national fame. After Obama does not throw Wright under the bus, Wright repays him in this way.

Wright is basically excoriating against white people and injustices...activism. There is nothing wrong with this. But the timing could not be worse. Obama is at this moment trying to get white votes. His chance of being successful at that is hurt now.

There is a time and place for things. I believe this has cost Obama the nomination. Who wants to see this guy giving national speeches every week, which is what may happen if Obama gets elected.

Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 08:54 AM by Cassandra
Wright is excoriating the power structure in this country that has taken an imperialistic bent for over 100 years (read "War is a Racket"). That that power structure has been white is not the main point, but it's one you're fixated on. I thought all good Democrats were against the imperialism that is draining our country, but apparently, some can't get around their fears of the boogyman, whatever faith or color he might be.

Like it or not, AA's are a minority in this country. Obama is not running just for black America. The timing of Wright speaking out will tend to turn-off middle America. People are paying nearly $4 for gas, going broke at the grocery store, worrying about an unjustified war, worring about health care, and frankly, most white Americans don't have the energy left to worry about AA's anger towards them right now. America embraced Obama, and now are getting slapped around by Wright. It's not going to work in Obama's favor.

Wright is divisive. He's thrown Obama under the bus. He's arrogant in his delivery and he has ignited a doubt that Obama is any different from his pastor.

50. I really think he's hurting Obama's campaign by speaking to the media this much
He's free to do as he likes of course, and he's certainly going to get invitations to speak various places, but having him open his mouth does nothing but widen the divide. His views are extremely liberal to the point of disowning his own country. Obama is trying to distance himself from the idea that he's somehow unpatriotic and aligning himself with this man won't help in that cause. Given that this country was founded on the idea of separation of church and state, I'd like to see this man step quietly out of the limelight, but I know that's not going to happen.

56. anyone who thinks this will sink Obama is worrying about the wrong thing...
If you truly do not blame Obama for his pastor... that is if you do not believe that obama is his brother's keeper then you vote for Obama on his own merits. Anyone who finds this the death nail isn't looking at how we got into this war. Wright is a side issue and we should take it at that. It's the media's way of having fun with us because we are a captive audience. We should be laughing at how silly the media is. I laugh about this every day. If you were leaning toward Obama but decided to vote against Obama because of something Rev. Wright said then you were looking for an excuse not to vote for him.

And if this is the case then you should be asking yourself why you would vote for someone who authorized a war that has cost our country human life.

It is racist to continue to denigrate an African American pastor who preaches from the bible and then give other religious leaders, candidates who support fire brand religious leaders a free pass when they do the same thing.

"I'm sure you will deny it, but it is." - Case closed! Book 'em Danno!

Btw, that pic has shown up in a lot of threads today because I want a lot of people to see it. "That disgusting montage" came from Rush Limbaugh's website. Of course I added in his opinion of Obama.

I heard him numerous times use the terms "halfrican" and "magic negro" when referring to Obama, so I decided to concentrate my energy on exposing his hatred to those who do not normally listen to him.

Oh, please click on more of my posts, so you can see even more "disgusting" and "subliminal" images. :)
