1. After seven votes, I am adding this to my poll: Please explain why you think as you do.

2. I wasn't able to watch all of it
But I voted "hurt Obama" mostly because of parts of the question and answer session. Personally, I kind of like Reverend Wright, though we are not in full agreement on some things, but he came across as being combative and antagonistic in some of his exchanges over questions, and I am concerned what sound bites and visual images that may yield to the media. I understand that from his perspective that there are good reasons for him to be combative at times toward those who question him, but: "To everything, turn turn turn, there is a season..."

4. Agree with Obama adviser Susan Rice who said Rev. Wright "more interested in redeeming his legacy."
Rice also said this was a media "sideshow" to which, I am afraid, the Rev. Wright all too willingly has joined--particularly in his performance at the National Press Club.

3. Americans tend to be afraid of the unknown
So the 30 second sound bite of the "scary black preacher" would have stayed in their heads way past this November if allowed to fester. And I would bet the loud voices in M$M and elsewhere who called for him to "keep his head down" realized this.

By putting himself and his words out there, Rev. Wright will morph from the caricature he has been painted to a three dimensional person that many will be surprised they not only agree with but actually admire.

Good for Wright. Good for Trinity Church. Good for Obama.

5. I hope the MSM plays his slam on Cheney being a chickenhawk.
That alone will endear him to 150 million Americans.

6. the media doesn't like to cover complicated isues. Wright is now a complicated person who
is more difficult to cover--so I think he'll not be getting a lot of attention except for on that one cable news channel... and talk radio. Places that like to distill the truth out of things.
