They are watching a country self-destruct. We are watcching the end of a world power. We have a shitload of ihnorant people, that care about flag pins, guns, gays, and religion. They also afraid of the truth If you tell the truth then the american people will reject you. If you tell the truth about Vietnam, Granada, Afghanistan and both of the Iraq wars then you are painted as unpatriotic. These were not wars where we defended the country. We killed millions of innocent people. And yes the war in Afghanistan was corrupt because it was about a oil pipeline. They do not understand policy. America better wakeup before we become a 3rd world country.

accumulated wealth of the United States. It would be hard pressed to find a world power in history that had a similar loss of total wealth in such a short period of time.

I don't like us selling ourselves to China, but a total shambles? no.
America has weathered difficulties before (far worse than this), and we will again.

14. Your in complete denial |

The problem is that in addition to simply lose our 30% of our assets we have lost 50% of our manufacturing base. An economy that is based entirely on service cannot rebuild its weallth. We actually have to have something to sell other people.
There is one thing that could bring those dollars back and that is tourism but it requires a foreign policy that people outside of the United States actually like.
As per your statement on "our total wealth", our wealth is based on the perception of the dollar, in other words on paper. The perception of the value of your home is also based simply on 'paper'. In the last 2 years the average home in America has lost 12% of its value in dollars. In the world's eyes and in world currencies the value of your home has decreased about 40%.
In the past America was able to rebound or 'weathered' economic troubles because our manufacturing base was based on cheap labor and it was just a matter of time before our entrenpenurial skill invented more products that people wanted. Having lost a cheap labor base the possibility of rebounding with manufacturing no longer exists.

8. As an extreme leftist and peace nick I am against all POLICY wars. |
|
Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia's Invasion of East Timor 1975 backed by Ford and Kissinger, Panama, Granada, Afghanistan and both Iraq wars were and are policy wars. Did I miss a few? Post them too.
As a matter of humanity I do not support the troops while they are in service but I do support their health care when they come home. It's not totally their fault that they were brain washed and the blame is also on our society for its worship and romanticism of war and its so called hero's.
Americans seem to never put themselves in others peoples shoes around the world and so they continually fail to care or understand and so Europe sits back and watches Americans make ass carrots out of themselves in every way.
Yes I am a leftist and without me in the Dem party it will continue to move to the right with people like the Clinton's and the DLC leading the way.

15. Demonstration of the fruits of greed |
|
Here we have most people sitting in their comfortable chairs and thinking that they can just make money do all the physical labor for them. They sit, eat and get obese and wonder why. Most people in this society live a sedentary lifestyle.
Our young people are no longer capable of using language in written form. They expect everyone to change to reading in text-it format.
Enough of the complaining - the other side of this may offer opportunities that no one has yet thought of.
