Clear Channel's new tactic? "Technical Difficulties" |
|
WTAM in Cleveland said that they would be carrying the Kerry visit.
Clear Channel.
So, I climb into my car at noon, tune in to see if Flushboy was hemorrhaging yet, and LO AND BEHOLD, they're carrying audio of the Kerry event.
Probably Mayor Jane Campbell, at the time.
Right in the middle of a pause, the audio goes dead. No crowd noise, so I know it's not her turning pages.
Air guy comes on, saying "We're having difficulties. So, let's take you to Rush."
Hmm, very convenient. All the locals who can't get to cable TV to watch what Kerry/Edwards had to say and have to listen to the radio are now cut off, to go straight to minimally disguised radio propaganda.

1. Contact a media watchdog group |
|
like MediaMatters or FAIR about this. They should monitor CC and see if this happens again during the campaign.

That is a sarcastic LMAO. Not a damn thing I hear anymore surprises me. And these jackals wanted to give corrupt, ideological whores MORE power to own MORE stations or even ALL stations within certain markets.
Can you say 1st amendment dead?
