how obama can make the wright "issue" go away: |
|
"apparently those statements that dr. wright made that many, myself included, have characterized as racist, unpatriotic, divisive, or just plain stupid have made quite an impression on my opponent. i've denounced them and rejected them and moved on.
and yet, these statments keep showing up in my opponent's speeches. quite an influence these horrible statements are having on hillary. she just can't let it go. i find that troubling."

1. They show up in the media too. |
|
After the speech, the mail MSNBC was 5-1 in favor of Wright, yet the talking heads continued bashing him & Obama.
Maybe Wright has a point. Maybe we should listen.

3. "How many years did Cheney serve (in the military)?" |
|
That's the new Wright sound-bite and I think it packs a punch.

5. What has Wright said that is "unpatriotic"? |
|
What has he said that is anymore racist than is said by Republicans on a daily basis? What has he said that is more "stupid" than is on Fox every hour of any day? What has he said that is more divisive than is routinely spewed by the Republican leadership? This all total BS!

6. of course it is. but the whole point of continual ATTACKS is to put the other side on DEFENSE |
|
as the right-wing has repeatedly shown, it doesn't matter that the attacks have no merit. just keep attacking, you can fool enough people enough of the time.
sometimes the only way out is to stop defending and start counter-attacking.

8. Correct. And that's what he needs to do. |

Hillary recently lies should provide ample material for a counter attack.

9. If wright's statements were not biggoted, and racist, then why do |
|
all you obama folk find the same type hate filled statements from those pastors on the right? Wright's sermons are looking at what he see's as problems and claiming he can fix them but giving no clear solutions, rather then to blame "white" America. I would say his statements are not taken out of context and are racist which is why I think church members do get behind his statements. If you are fed a dose of "white" hatred from the pastors lips each sunday and the cause of all your problems are "white" america, then wright is guilty of being himself a racist.
The whoremedia is saying obama disagrees with "some" of wrights statements, but none of them have the guts to ask obama which ones he agrees too. Plus, obama is a liar because in one of his press releases, Obama claimed, “The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation.” If Obama’s claims were true that he was completely unaware that Wright’s trademark preaching has targeted “white” America and Israel, he would have been one of the few people in Chicago to be so uninformed. Wright’s reputation for spewing hate is well known. Plus, in obama big race speech he said, " have I been in church when he spoke these comments, Yes." Liar, liar, pant on fire.....
Yes, obama and wright cut from the same cloth.

It'll be used in the fall. No question. Obama's best hope is that MSM grows tired of talking about it at some point. (doesn't appear likely)
