Poll question: Do you remember back when only the joke candidates would talk about obliterating entire nations? |

You know, the joke candidates that you didn't even know were in the presidential race until an equal-time card was played in some obscure venue?
Or the joke candidates you leaned about by watching some documentary about the Ku Klux Klan or the Nazi Party?
Remember those good ol' days when neither Democrats nor Republicans would stand for this kind of insane nonsense?
Remember?

It was somewhere back before 2000. Before George W. Bush. Before Hillary Clinton. Before so many people bought into the idea that it was somehow okay for American leaders to talk about murdering people in outrageous contexts.

What was it, 1982? "We start bombing in 5 minutes."
Don't have any earlier soundbytes right to hand, but I'm sure they were there, ever since we got the bomb.

3. Before 2000, somebody like Hillary Clinton would be laughed out of the race. |

The term loose cannon is too soft. She is a joke.
