Hey, it isn't easy to change. It isn't comfortable. Sometimes it's scary. Sometimes it takes a wrong turn or two.

If you are seriously in a twirl over Rev Wright, you need to ask yourself why the truth is upsetting to you.

He's telling the truth.

Let me ask you, what if God Made Woman First.

How would that change the way you view the world?

Different, not deficient.

Stand up for your brothers and sisters, or we will surely all perish together. We have to change.

1. When that truth brings us President John McCain...
then you'll understand why The Wright Show has become upsetting to me.

2. Please quit furthering the RW meme...
My dog's droppings have a better chance at becoming president than John McCain.

6. I hope you're right
But I have less confidence in the American electorate. They're dumbed down. They have this image of Rev. Wright in their heads of some sort of evil, unpatriotic racist. People that may be on the fence between Senator Obama and Senator McCain come November might fall over to the McCain side. Even if they don't, he's become an unnecessary distraction for the Obama campaign.

Ask yourself this question: Do you think that the Obama campaign is pleased or displeased with Wright's media blitz this week? I think if you're honest with yourself you know the answer.

17. I cannot believe anyone is on the fence between those two
McCain = Four More Years

Obama = Change, right? Even if that change is undetermined in the puny minds of many, the prospect of four more years of the same BushCo BS cannot be acceptable to 75% of the population.

I think this fence sitting is a figment of the RW... they are trying to impose all sorts of things on us, and it's beyond wrong. They are trying to get us to fight, and they are succeeding...

7. When would you prefer..
Reverend Wright defend himself and his Church..now..or in November? His Church, with a membership of over 10,000 is getting bomb threats. Hillary would have gotten up and left. What does that say to the members of this Church? This issue needed to be confronted. And Reverend Wright is the only one who can do it.

10. He's the only one that can NOT do it
He's become such a caricature nationally that millions of people will tune him out automatically just because of what the media has painted him to be.

If the church wanted to defend itself, get an associate pastor or someone to speak out in its defense and do so in a manner that defends Wright.

Wright is nothing but a negative nationally. That is SAD. I saw Wright's speech last night and I thought it was very funny and witty and spot-on for the most part. I like him. However, I also like Michael Moore, but I would be very afraid of him doing a media blitz in the run-up to two very important primaries.

13. Michael Moore is not attached...
to a candidate the way the media has fused Senator Obama and Reverend Wright. Shutting up the Reverend is not the answer. It will not go away. Allowing people to see him as he is, rather than the media's betrayal of him can not be a bad thing. And, he has every right to stand up and defend himself, from being used and abused by the media. Reverend Wright is now a person in his own right. Love him or hate him, he is not Senator Obama.

4. Just as long as there is no risk
and of course not if I have to change personally,

and your not suggesting that I actually have to listen more than I talk right?

What I was really looking for is somebody that would make it possible for everyone else to change.

It just seems a lot simpler to me.

I am not going to have to get my hands dirty am I?

5. "I don't want to change the world. I don't want the world to change me."
Ozzy Osbourne
Most people get to the former point because it's just too much work and it's frustrating and seems hopeless. So they give up on the first, but the second they cling to with all their might unless the world really makes them change (by threatening them with prison, or loss of livelihood) and will only be pried from their cold, dead hands.

14. I didn't see it
I just added to it now. Admitting the truth about what we are, and have been, doesn't appear to be an easy task. Not even for self-described progressives and lefties.
