Photo ID-Indiana has it for elections |
|
Florida and Michigan also have it. Is that an issue?

1. Depends who you ask, honestly. |

If it went all the way to the Supreme Court, I am sure that someone was injured (in some way.)

4. Wasn't there a problem |

Back in 2004 with photo ID some other places? I would think that the party has had 4 years to make sure all registered voters have gotten a photo ID. I could be wrong, but it would make sense to not only get out the vote, but make sure that they have a photo ID.

7. I think it was Georgia. |

They had an exclusive photo ID just for voting.
(I am pretty sure it was struck down.)
That obviously would place an undue burden on the electorate.

13. I really would have to look at the ruling |
|
As far aa a time-line.
I would assume, though, that you would need a photo-id or lawful equivalent to vote next Tuesday.
It isn't ex-post facto because the law was already in place.

Seems like they have had that rule for some time now. I hear some say it helps the republicans in the GE, but I don' see why the dems can't get out and get ID for those that don't have it. If they are registered to vote there should be a list, and all the need to do is start calling and get those with no ID some ID!
As for the primary, I don't know. It might hurt Obama, but I would think that all the newly registered democrats would have had to show ID to register, and I would think they would have had to have a photo ID when they did it, so it might not hurt him that much.

8. Not if they're free it's not |

And you could use this as a way to get around some other forms of vote caging.
