1. This is a rational statement
Why anyone would have ever thought that Rev. Wright "spoke for" the Obama campaign is a mystery to me.

2. Exactly. Obama said he would have left the church if Wright continues to preach there, after all!

3. Rev. Wright is a brilliant preacher

He does seem a little stuck in the thinking of a few decades ago but he is brilliant.

4. That's not the problem. People tend to judge you by who your
friends are. You may not like that nor agree with it, but it's reality!

I know Rev. Wright didn't say anything that was any worse than the things that have been said by the RW preachers like Robertson & Fallwell, but The voters who support the things by the RW are NOT the voters Barack is trying to go after. I don't think it's unreasonable to believe that few people who've never attended a Black church ever HEARD preaching like the Rev. Wright does, and it sounds extremely radical to them. They can't believe someone could attend a church for 20 years and never have heard those sermons.

I voted for Barack in our Primary, but I'm very concerned about the effect all this is going to have on many of the moderate voters who also voted for him, or may be considering it in one of the next 9 primaries. Also I have concerns about how the SDs are reacting to it.

I have to admit, my eye is on the big prize, and I want a Dem. in the WH!
