I fit the stereotype by originally supporting Edwards.

Now I'm supporting Obama.

Somewhere I jumped out of my demographic I guess.

8. White 50 Blue collar Union man
And yet I still support Barack Obama. How can that be? Could all the pundits be wrong? Or am I just some maverick like McCain allegedly is? Here's a possible answer: I have studied the candidates and their stances on issues and decided that at this time, Obama is the best choice.

I guess I fit my demographic.

My 65 year old Mom is a Obama supporter also. She has a high-school degree and lives in Kansas.

There does seem to be a broader demographic in the Midwest and Mountain states for Obama.

... for thirty seven years. I've lived in Utah for 42 years and my vote in the presidential elections is and has been absolutely useless. So has my husband's. So have my children's. But we still go to the polling place and vote.

We content ourselves with donating to candidates running in other states and, this year, to Obama.

35. voting block.....
I am a white female (37) who is a feminist. I have a graduate degree but I am a blue-collar worker because all of the theater departments in my area are being cut do to funding. I work for a non-profit organization making 8 bucks an hour. I am an Obama supporter who will not vote for HRC or McSane under any circumstances (I've always been registered as an Indy so spare me the democratic bs) I have voted dem in most of the elections of my lifetime and I am extremely progressive and lean dem most of the time but I am truly excited to be able to vote for a GOOD man instead of the lesser of two evils.

40. White lawyer, male, 60, NY metro area suburbs (mostly white) for Obama
RFK was my hero as a young man. Obama is my hope for the future. I have one young grandchild, age 2 and it my hope to leave for her a country that is blind to racial strife and united in the premise that any child of this land, male or female, black, white, Asian, of whatever racial or ethnic heritage, can truly believe that this is the land of liberty and that there is equal justice for all. It is, in my humble opinion, a time to prove that all that has gone before was all worthwhile.
