Are the Clintons behind the Wright media blitz?
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 10:24 PM by Skwmom
When I saw the Wright media blitz I immediately wondered if the Clintons (and or Republicans) were behind it. They do have a lot of connections and a lot of emphasis has been put on NC by their hacks and talking heads. On Countdown Olbermann said that Wright is back in the news not b/c of the Republicans or Clinton but b/c of Wright himself. Is he sure about that?

From Gateway Pundit: On April 10th the NAACP announced that they had invited Rev Wright to speak. It was to be billed as “A Change is Going to Come.” (Hmmm…. Like a change in the Democratic Race...?) The NAACP Chairman is Julian Bond.

The Michigan Messenger claims that NAACP Chairman Julian Bond basically endorsed Clinton.

"The disturbing part of Bond’s letter is that could easily be interpreted as a backhanded way of endorsing Senator Clinton."
http://www.thesuperspade.com/naacp-chairman-julian-bond-endorses-clinton-basically.

On edit: On Lou Dobbs, a guy from the Michigan NAACP was on their and he said how the Clintons had spoken before the Michigan NAACP. I think they could have easily has their connections within the NAACP to invite Wright to speak to help get him back in the news. The Clintons said they weren't going to let the Wright matter drop.

Harold Ford, the Clinton hack, has kept making comments about NC (about who won NC would be the nominee). Other talking heads have also said we need to see who can win where they aren't expected to. This made me think that there was going to be an all out assault on Obama in NC. They’ve hinted of an Elizabeth Edwards endorsement and now the Gov has decided to endorse (I wonder if the Wright situation was the deciding factor?) I can’t help but wonder WHY are the super delegates waiting? Are they hoping that Clinton can take down Obama without being blamed for the dirty deed? Bill Clinton can then go out on the stump and say we didn't steal the nomination from Obama, one of your own people (Wright) took him down.

I'm still in the process of researching the rest of his media blitz. Does anyone know anything about the National Press Club speech or the book deal?

that the Clinton's need to win in the General Election and I'll be there for them.

Unlike most Obama supporters, I have not embued the Clintons with superhuman attributes and extrordinary Machiavellianism!

They're just trying to run a campaign and I'm not holding that fact against them........

Also, I'll state right up front that Sen. Obama wins the nomination, I will vote for him in November, as well.

Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 11:05 PM by Skwmom
(not to mention Independents who do not favor Clinton), I think if they steal the nomination you might want to practice saying President McCain. While I'm sure some black voters will right it off as politics as usual, I just don't think that the majority will. Nor will a lot of white, Hispanic, Asian, or Native American voters.

the Clintons feel for Obama is obvious. He would change nothing and after serving under Clinton HE WOULD NEVER BE ELECTED PRESIDENT b/c the country would be so sick of the Clintons and all of their corruptness and drama that they will vote in a Republican. Don't you think there is a reason Bush and Clinton are so chummy?

more likely that the "do anything to win, we will not let the Wright matter drop, hinting for weeks that N.C. would be the deciding state, and wanting to take down Obama while keeping their hands clean," are somehow involved in this. Plus, they probably think that being able to blame a black man for taking down another black man will somehow appease the black voters in Nov. Of course, they are far from the brightest tools in the shed.

The fact that there is such outright denial.... Based on their conduct during this primary to immediately right off any involvement on their part is strange....

It would be STUPID NOT TO WONDER if they had a hand in this. It would hardly take a genius to figure out how to get Wright back into the 24/7 news cycle (especially with plenty of connections to help you out).

How utterly convenient! Guess Wright had absolutely no option to say "no" in these appearances, either. The Clintons somehow coerced him into accepting, too.

Sometimes denial is a good thing...like when the accusers start drifting away from reality into paranoid delusions.

Everything else that happened was up to Wright and Obama.

Wright could have declined, for what reason I don't know or he could have come across as a sane human being.

He did neither, the Clinton's had no power over the way he was going to come across.

I just woke up to the fact a LONG time ago that the Clintons would sell their own mothers to be in power again. If you don't know that, you don't know something absolutely seminal about those two.

If you're gonna support a candidate, you should at least know what she is in the depths of her soul. I wouldn't want any fellow Democrat wandering around in that naive a fog.

Wait a minute - even if they didn't I'm sure the Republicans will get a majority of people to think the Clintons were behind it. So I guess the Clintons are kind of in a lose, lose situation. :)

I guess the Clintons never learned that "your word is everything." She is viewed by the vast majority as so dishonest (which she is) that when she says she had nothing to do with it she will not be believed. That is what one truly would call "the chickens coming home to roost!"

Clinton supporter invited Wright

Obama's campaign has disavowed Wright's media tour, and a correspondent notes an interesting detail:

Wright was invited to the National Press Club by a journalist and minister who supports Clinton.

The Tribune reports that Wright was invited by Barbara Reynolds, a former USA Today editorial board member who has written on personal blog of her support for Clinton.
