Honest question - do the Clinton supporters actually believe that Clinton has been "vetted"?
I'm just curious because I think there is a trunk full of (potentially) nasty stuff from the ending of the Clinton Administration up to now which deals with lots of crap (Pardons, Library, speeches - who is paying Bill stuff, and more), along with some of the weird crap from when Hillary was young (the commie law firm and that stuff).

Now - I don't want to go into it. That isn't what this thread is asking. I'm glad Obama hasn't gone into it - he really hasn't - but I know the Republicans will drag it all out.

I know this is going to piss some people off but I'm honestly trying to get a feel for if the Clinton supporters are really buying the "she's been vetted" line or if they do realize that she really hasn't been because Obama hasn't done it and the Republicans will.

I'll probably regret posting this but I honestly want to know if people really believe that line.

1. People feel they know her; She's not Bill, and she's not 21 any more; no news there
Frankly, people want somebody to save them from high prices and having to charge their groceries.

4. We all watched Bill live, and Ken Starr; Wright is new, and news, as is Obama
"Who Obama is" is still unfolding.

10. Ah! yes but that was not the point ...I was assuming that hillary got
the nomination and all this baggage will be opened just like the Monica times...as you can see they as much better at it than we are.

supposed "scandals" from the 90"s. I'm mainly talking about things from around 2000 on which haven't received any of that scrutiny.

edit to add - Well, I'm not talking about Starr, etc. although if they can find anything new I'm sure they'll use it.

9. She has a truthfulness number in the 30's when both Obama and McCain's are in the 60's.
Nobody will believe anything she says. I don't anymore and I really didn't want to get to this point specifically because it would be so hard to defend her if she becomes the nominee.

I just think that is a killer for the GE. I think there is a lot of stuff since near the end of the Administration on that will become the 24 hour news idiocy just like today's idiocy.

I'm glad it hasn't all come out because I think Obama has essentially already won without having to do it. I think he really does hate that crap and I do too. I don't want him to start doing it - I'm in no way advocating that but I'm trying to just get a feel for whether people understand that it is LOOMING out there.

I knew since last summer that Wright was going to be an issue. I know there are issues like that for Hillary which haven't erupted yet - and I don't think they need to either.

14. LOL - thank you for giving me a feel for where Clinton supporters stand on this
question. :)

I'm afraid we disagree on what will probably happen if Hillary somehow would win the nomination but, hey, that's OK :hi:

22. Yes. Your response essentially answers the question. You buy the "she's been vetted" line.

24. I am sorry but I don't think she's been vetted at all
and I think she is unqualified for the job of president. All this hype about Wright is a diversion from this truth, but people still know it is true.

25. one thing you will not find is the pastor at either of the churches
bill and hillary attends talking racial hatred and blacks causing all the troubles in america.

I doubt serious there is anything anyone can pin to hillary that would be as controversial as pastor wright and I am sure that bill and hillary have records of where bill was on a certain date and who bill meant with and witnesses to this and they are just waiting for the right wing to play this silly ass game and embarass them and the public will once again turn for HRC and especially Bill like they did in 98 and 99 when he went to 68 to 72% favorable as president. Yes, Bill still had a very low disapproval from the public as it should have been, but the right would be stupid to play a game like this.......
