Time for Obama to step up
Sometimes politics requires force and toughness. He needs to get his ass out there, he needs to forcefully say that Rev. Wright is not part of the campaign, is not his pastor, and does not speak for him. He needs to say this over and over and over again.

That being said, I don't think Wright's comments today are as bad for Obama as people think. everyone knew about Wright. People that weren't going to vote for Obama because of it have already jumped ship. I think by this time Tuesday, it will be a small blip, and Obama will have recovered, but he has to hit back hard.

He needs to show some toughness.

2. He already said that today. The media doesn't cover what Obama says, it
covers the attacks against him, and his attackers. If Clinton attacks him, the media takes her cue and covers him that way. Same if the GOP/McCain attacks him. The press does not cover it very much when Obama hits Clinton or McCain, because he does it on issues, not character. The media swarm around Wright is not something that Obama can ultimately help or control--his enemies WANT him to be forever responsible for this man and his every utterance. The press will keep inviting Wright to speak, and then cover his comments ad nauseam as if they somehow reflect on Obama in some way, to the exclusion of OBAMA'S actual campaign statements and appearances. This is how it works.

11. Then they would cover that in a negative light, as a "gaffe" or an unfair attack or
an act of desperation, or what have you. Once the media chooses sides and decides to tear down a candidate on really retarded non-issues, there's little anyone can do to stop them or change the coverage. Hillary made horrendous gaffes and a tasteless joke in the last week or so, and there's no coverage of it, because their job right now is to tear down Obama and make white people dislike him, by constantly questioning aloud why white folks dislike him--self-fulfilling prophecy. That's why Rev Wright is on a never-ending loop. Obama wasn't too damaged by it in March, and recovered, so it's time for the media to invite Wright to speak and give him lots of coverage.

4. No, he needs to change the media narrative. You don't feed a story that is a negative for you

6. if Wright keeps up, though, he may help get Obama a sympathy vote....
It sounded like a lot of pundits (even those on opposiste sides) were feeling sorry for Barack....

7. I agree. It can be as simple as that without compromising the tone of his campaign
He can simply say those three things every time the M$M wants to play gotcha.

I remember Bush I being asked about some past affair and flatly saying "I'm not even going to dignify that with an answer." Of course today's media hos wouldn't accept the same response from Obama, but he can repeat the same disclaimers and play a game of chicken until the M$M finally finds another shiny object on which to focus.

14. I don't think he needs to have a formal press conference
and I think he knows he doesn't need to do this. He is finishing the primaries and planning for the GE. People are so excited about all the negative attention Obama is getting because they think his campaign has derailed. His campaign hasn't derailed. All this Wright stuff is distraction and it gives HRC supporters "hope," but I think it will have little impact on Obama. It didn;t have much impact the last time it was harped on and it won't this time.

15. oh yes, let obama give another one of those speeches. Hell he
shoudl since the whoremedia has all day be telling him and his campaign that he should and telling him what to say. How to say it. How to show emotion and be mad when he talks about pastor wright. The whoremedia is giving obama all the signs. Kinda like the referee telling the oposing team that we got ya by 4 points already and we control the clocks too.

Yes and if obama gives another speech the same asshole whoremedia will tell everyone from sunset to sunrise how great a speech it was and how obama came out forceful this time against wright. Oh it will be better then Ezekiel talking about the valley of dry bones.BUT, this time the public will not buy into it and this time will not go along with this pig in a poke.

Obama is done. Fried, dried and laid to the side......
