Don't you think that a little excessive? There is more to a church than the pastor. In this case this church has a huge number of outreach programs that do good work in the community. The decision of which church to join often does depend as much on the congregation as the leader.

Do all Catholics move in lock step with the Pope on everything? Did you ask John Kerry if he would work to make American law on contraceptives and abortion the same as the Pope's? Or, did PA people here ask Santorum to repeal the death penalty,as Catholic law would prefer?
