Al-Qaeda Wants Kerry To Win (PS - Don't Protest The Dangerous Convention)
This recent phlegm of reports by Ridge stating totally unspecific evidence of terrorists threats to the election serves two political purposes for the Bush administration:

1. It says - without saying, of course - that the terrorists are interested in making the American people "waver" and get rid of Bush, because they would be much more comfortable with wine-swilling Kerry.

2. It spooks people away from the NY convention, thus possibly shaving the enormous crowds of un-well-wishers (which will be under-reported, anyway).

1. Funny
I will repeat it yet once more...al Quaida issued a statement shortly after the madrid bombings claiming responsibility for that attack. It was in that very statement that they actually endorsed BUSH! They want Bush to win.

4. At the risk of sounding obtuse,
why would al-Qaida care WHO wins the election? To them, an infidel is an infidel, no matter WHAT political stripe!

7. They Only Targeted Republicans At The WTC
It is so slimy of the GOP to use national security (and tragedy) to bolster a few political points.

Actually, I was shocked that the McCain commercial had an image of Osama. I'd think that the Bush folks would want us to forget about the Tora Bora fiasco.

6. "Wine-swilling Kerry"?
Seems to me the Bush crowd can put away THEIR share of booze, too!

8. But Bush Only Drives With Regular-Guy Beer, Like All Connecticut Cowboys
Cause Bush is just a reg'lar fella hanging out with his buds on his millionaire ranch.

Fortunately, Dubya gave up booze and coke for power and God, and the world is much safer for it.
