9. KY is certainly not the sort of place a black man running as Democrat could expect to do well |

I doubt that KY will be relevant, and probably won't see a lot of campaigning. Unless Clinton wins IN by 20 points and pulls the upset in NC, there will be no necessity for Obama to campaign much in KY on his own account.
It will be interesting to see if he does end up campaigning there very much, because that will be a good indication of how he and Dean see the prospects for the whole KY Dem ticket in November.
If Obama did campaign hard, he could close this to near even, as he did in PA and OH. Definitely under 10 points.
It is interesting that the SDs are breaking for Obama now, considering that Obama will probably not win the vote in their state. What does that say? What message are they sending?
I'm not sure, but it sound like the message is that this thing is basically over and they want to have some influence over the outcome, considering that the voters of the commonwealth won't have any influence this time.
Or maybe the message is that they want to see Obama use some of his campaign resources in KY in the fall. They very well could have gotten the call from Howard Dean, saying "Let me 'spain something to you fellers. The DNC doesn't have any money for you unless Obama is the candidate, because his campaign is sucking up all the money that the DNC was counting on raisin'. So if you boys want any support this fall, you'd better buddy up with Obama."

8. Ky will be a strong Clinton state (like TN) so this is good news that he isn't being swayed by poll |
|
he must think Obama would be the best president.
