Cheney 38% Edwards 45%
MSNBC poll asking who you'd rather see as PRESIDENT! Also revealed that the Bush/Cheney camp - though still slightly ahead has slid 18 points in SOUTHERN states! This is why we had a Terrorist Threat Briefing today.

1. "This is why we had a Terrorist Threat Briefing today"
The Bush Administration and those who dissent simply are not learning the lesson of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf."

The Bush Administration does not understand that these frequent announcements lulls us and those who dissent don't realize that there IS a wolf.

2. I know that regardless of the Edwards selection...
much of the South will still firmly be in Bush's corner, however I am hoping that Edwards being on the ticket will sway some of those states towards Kerry/Edwards. I think that we have a great chance to steal North Carolina. That state was close even before Edwards addition.

Who knows? Maybe we could make some serious in roads in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Tennessee too.

3. Also....
if we can make Bush spend money and time in some of these Southern states to keep that lead, then that helps in other battleground states in other areas of the country.

4. Follow the money.

That is the key: make Bush spend that war chest shoring up the south. Every dollar spent there is a dollar not spent in OH, PA, MI, etc...

If I were the Bush strategists, I wouldn't spend a penny in the south. We aren't going to win there, but we could be fooled into wasting money there. And for that matter if the Bushies don't take some borderline states in the midwest they are dead even with an 11 state confederate sweep.

Looks a little better each day.

5. FYI - the 18 point slide was
BEFORE Edwards was added to the ticket.

6. It was the F911 slide, perhaps (which also makes voters skeptical about...
...terror threats, I bet).
