1. Isn't Wright responsible for his own actions??

Didn't bother him to throw Obama under the bus.

Pastor Of Clinton's Former Church: Don't Use Wright To Polarize
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/03/25/pastor-of-clintons-forme_n_93418.html

On Tuesday, Sen. Hillary Clinton re-stoked the flames of the controversy surrounding Sen. Barack Obama's former pastor, saying she would have long ago distanced herself from Rev. Jeremiah Wright if she had attended his church.

"He would not have been my pastor," Clinton told a gathering of the campaign press corps, repeating a line she used earlier in the day on a Pittsburgh radio program. "You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend."

It has been the media, particularily the RW media, who have yammered on and on and on about him......not 'Hillary supporters.'

Where every other thread is a Clinton supporter race-baiting on Wright?

Or have you noticed Clinton running on the issue herself?

21. You're right
Regardless of which of the three was hurt/helped most by Rev Wright's very existence, they have to ALL see this as the cesspool that it is - what Gore called a "toxic environment."

No matter how "clean" they may think they are, they have to know that there is this and that yet to come - they are just going to be waiting for the show to drop. Probably all want to put wives/husbands in a meatlocker or something, too. It has to suck to be them about now.

12. Yes, we MADE him do it. We MADE Wright say all that crazy ass bullshit
And we MADE Barack Obama sit in his church for 20 years.
We MADE Wright baptize Obama.
We MADE Wright marry him to Michelle.
We MADE Wright baptize his kids.
We MADE Wright go on his media tour.
We MADE that church sell those tapes on their website.

27. Oh Lord ... Put The Straw Man Away! Damn!
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 01:38 PM by The_Counsel
Wright said "all that crazy ass bullshit" because he thought it would make a point in his sermons. Over 20 years. "God damn America?" It means America should stop acting like our shit doesn't stink. It does. Like everyone else's. And BTW no one had a problem with Rev. Wright's statements before this year. Wonder why THAT is...?

Obama "sat in his church for 20 years" because he understands that you go to worship God, not the pastor. No matter how milquetoast the pastor is, you're not going to be 100% on-board with everything s/he says. You take what you need and throw the rest away.

Exactly how is Wright baptizing Obama a bad thing? You're aware that is a SYMBOLIC ceremony, no? I'm sure you're also aware that a baptism is not one person's assimilation of another's ideas.

Exactly how is Wright performing a marriage ceremony a bad thing? See my previous point.

Do likewise on the point of baptizing Obama's children.

Wright went on his media tour on his own. It's his right. You'd do it too if you were in his position. And BTW, by most accounts, the Obama campaign asked Rev. Wright not to do this media campaign now. He refused. His right. You can ask all you want, but at the end of the day this is still America and Rev. Wright is free to do what he wants as long is he's not breaking the law.

Are you really bitching about selling sermon recordings? Really? Sad.

Bottom line: no one is "blaming the Hillary camp" for what Rev. Wright said. I blame it for passive-aggressively exploiting it for political gain. But mostly, I blame the M$M for blowing this up FAR more than necessary. They need a horse race for ratings sake. It's what they do. That's one thing I wish Obama was able to call them on; but I know he can't. Hell hath no fury like the media scorned.

Or something like that...

13. Why are you blamin all this on Clinton supporters?
Are not Rev. Wright and Obama responsible and accountable for their own individual actions?
Or is it that only Hillary must be held accountable and responsible for individual actions?

23. I have no idea who that is.
And if I don't, then I'll assume 99% of voters haven't either.

Making whatever he may have done irrelevant to the campaign.

that should help. When you do you'll see that Hillary Clinton is falling further behind every day, and Obama already has a mathematical lock on the delegates.

If this is as good as it gets for you and you are as happy as you "can possibly be", well that's a pretty depressing thing for you to say.

25. FINALLY Obama follows Rove's advice:
http://www.newsweek.com/id/134322

(snip)
2. When you get into trouble, pick one, simple explanation. And stay with it. Take the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. You said you weren't sitting in church when he said those ugly things. Two days later, you excused him, saying his comments didn't give "a well-rounded portrait" of him. Two days after that, you condemned his statements as "not only wrong but divisive" but still couldn't "disavow him" any more than you could your grandmother. Ten days later, you implied if Wright hadn't retired, you might have left his church. It would have been better to say from the start that Wright's words were wrong and offensive and you should have spoken out earlier. The applause would have been deafening.
(snip)

NOW let's hear someone talk about how "Rovian" Clinton is.

But I have to be honest: since we've gone from a landslide to a tossup in less than a year...

Here's to BOTH campaigns...SUCKING MY DICK.
