The Republicans are DESPERATELY Trying to Spin this Press Conference Against Obama
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 01:42 PM by hnmnf
Fox News is saying that this speech is the end of Obama, Pat Buchanan is saying that Obama lacks credibility (but yet he sides with Wright). It is all clear that the right is trying to spin this thing as bad for Obama, but Chris Matthews, people on CNN, democratic strategist on MSNBC see things the opposite away.

1. The GOP just lost the Wright issue for the GE
Of course they're going to desperately try to keep it going, but they have to know it wont work.

30. One Thing for Sure...

There are a lot of bad spin articles being hurled at Obama. Come on, if he was'nt electable the MSM, GOP, and Hilltites
wouldn't be so focused on tarnishing his reputation.

11. No spin necessary, just watch it.
Unless you don't have an open mind.

13. Wright threw Obama under the bus
Obama was not willing to go there intially, until Wright made it personal.

22. Obama ran over Wright with the bus...then backed up a ran over him again.
Wright is mush under the tires of the Obama Express! Wright is no longer relevant and will not be an issue for the general now.

3. Faux Noise would say that night is day
and day is night if it would hurt the Dems. I'm hoping that the majority of Americans aren't stupid enough to buy their bilge any more.

4. Not to mention the Hillbots here on DU ...
Saying he looked "weak" and "humiliated" ...

The suckola MSM now has a choice to make: Are they going to continue
to cover Wright, even though Obama has very publicly denounced, renounced,
DIVORCED him? If the media continues to perpetuate this "feud" they are
betraying the fact that they're all about gutter politics and not about
the issues that matter to the American people. Since Wright obviously
does not speak for the campaign -- and the candidate has just cut the
guy loose -- Wright no longer has ANY NEWS VALUE WHATSOEVER ... unless
you're into the politics of personal destruction.

31. He will just have to go back to praising Hillary...
Which was his favorite pass time before Wright opened his mouth again.

Gawd, the pukes are so afraid of running against Obama this fall - for good reason.

6. Obama was outstanding, very impressive.
Actually the MSNBC discussion is pretty good, even Tweety is making sense.

Buchanan raises a legitimate point, although I don't agree with him.

In the long run, today's presser will prove to be a significant plus for Obama. It was a difficult thing for him to do, but most who actually saw him had to be impressed.

It is hannity's greatest desire to place a neocon back in the White House. I wish them utter failure at their games.

Press conferences are such a waste, and nobody's watching.

27. CNN has been getting better- they actually show news all day
and not political silliness 24/7. They will have a poli piece in there, but it doesn't dominate constantly.

And they did show the replay in its entirety, instead of having pundits bash soundbytes.

Of course, we could all do without their evening lineup

I tend to like some of the personalities on MSNBC (Tweety, KO, Dan Abrams), so I watch them
