2. Elizabeth just said that they will not be endorsing before NC primary unless something major |
|
happens. Poor Hillary fans thought she was going to endorse.

5. They cannot afford to alienate whomsoever is the nominee |
|
Whoever wins, Edwards agenda will get a hearing. Count on it.
If they endorsed now, he'd alienate one side or the other.

Just smacked Nora when she asked if John wasn't endorsing because he didn't want to back a loser. Elizabeth said (paraphrase), Once you are a loser yourself, does that really matter? LOL...she is quick!!!!

But, if anyone knew anything about the Edwards, they would know that John has already stated he will support the Nominee. Period.

12. Half the people here have stated |
|
that they care less if he were to endorse, the other half is demanding he endorse their candidate - which is it? Edwards has said he will support the nominee period. End of story. He will not endorse for he knows that one half would vilify him and the other half would be suspicious and call him opportunistic. What he cares about most is the progressive platform he was trying to get out there, health care, alternative energy and green jobs, getting us out of Iraq, breaking the grip that lobbyist have on our law making process, promoting economic fairness but rolling back tax cuts on the wealthy, - gee, haven't heard much about those issues lately, have we? :sarcasm:

6. I actually think they should NOT endorse |
|
I think it's a bit unseemly for former candidates (from this cycle) to endorse. It's fracturing and divisive.

14. I find it even more unseemly when a former president acts the way Bill Clinton has been acting. |
|
Talk about unseemly!
I'm not surprised by the Edwards's decision. It's the right decision. They'll support the nominee.

13. Jeesus. Talk about BADGERING the lady to death! |
|
O'Donnell asked her not once-- but FIVE times-- I counted FIVE times- she went back to the question.
Man, if only we had this doggedly "diligent" press on duty when when we were being fed lies about "WMD's in Iraq", "Al Queda in Iraq", Guantanamo, "nigerian yellowcake", torture memos, government leaders who coudn't be bothered reading NIE's--- god I could go on forever.

15. That's a point that needs to be said over and over again! |
|
The U.S. press are bulldogs when it comes to pushing non-stories that distract from Republican crimes. When it comes to covering Republican crimes, not bulldogs.
