It is time to end this
We need a candidate now. We cannot wait for June or August. This has got to end. The control of the supreme court is in our hands.

I like Obama and think he will make the best president, but Hilary has done well and is polling well in the swing states. Other than Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania every other state is going to go red or blue. Hilary is sure to win in at least 2 of these 3 states against McCain which makes her the best candidate.

Obama can take the VP position with the hope of getting president in 8 years. We could have 2 amazing presidents for the next 16 years and change the face of the USA forever for the good. Together with that we will have progressive thinking men and women on the bench of the supreme court.

1. Why are you insisting on defeat?
Obama taking the VP slot when he's WINNING? Jeebus... if you were playing a game of chicken, you'd be in deep shit right about now. lol

18. I am not conceding defeat
I believe in victory for progressives. This means us coming together and accepting the best candidate we can put forward. I am still a strong Obama supporter.

27. You seriously think HRC is the best "progressive" we can put forward?
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 03:45 PM by CakeGrrl
Really?

"Obliterating" Iran isn't a problem position for you?

Lying about an overseas visit to a military base shows good personal character and you think that will hold up really well against a P.O.W.'s real-life undisputed experience?

Propping up the Republican opposition is OK with you?

Refusing to sever all ties with a shady campaign manager who double-deals in Colombia is no problemo?

A candidate and her husband with more past baggage than an commercial airliner's cargo hold sounds good to you?

And this is the best you think we can do???

:wtf:

No wonder Democrats are addicted to losing.

4. Obama needs to concede he's lost....
and let Hillary kick some GOP ass. If Obama hadn't exercised such poor judgement regarding Wright for the past 20 years and especially lately I'd say he should be VP.......but at this point he's even probably blown that chance.

If Clinton supporters won't let Hillary concede when she's BEHIND, why in hell should Obama concede while he is WINNING and will continue to WIN and get MORE delegates and votes than Clinton?

Didn't she offer Sen. Obama the VP spot even though he has/been/is winning.

Which is what the DLC has always done. And that's why they're done, when Hillary's campaign finally implodes.

25. Damn right.
He rises above. She wallows in the gutter.

Claiming she is WINNING is an OUT AND OUT LIE.

If Barack isn't the nominee, they can shove the VP slot up their ass. I wouldn't serve under that woman for all the money in the world and neither would he.

If he is the nominee Hillary will not get the VP slot, or cabinet position, or anything else because Obama is a smart man and recognizes her for the cancer that she is.

21. HE is winning. SHE is losing.
So he should be VP... why? Do you realize how irrational and illogical and ARROGANT that is to suggest that the WINNER need to resign himself to the VP slot? It's maddening.

Obama and his supporters will never give up. We'll never allow Hillary to push him to the back of the bus. We'll never allow her to bully and slime her way to the nomination. Over my dead body. He'll do just fine in the general. The media is all over his ass like white on rice right now - he has your candidate and the Rethugs to thank for that. Why? They are scared of him. They see him for the unstoppable force he is. 1.5 million donors don't lie. He has the American public on his side. What's more people are growing tired of Hillary and her nastiness. She's about to reap what she's sown. I know more people who ABHOR her than who are considering voting for her. And there's plenty to hate.

She will not be the nominee. She will not be the VP. She probably will not even be offered a position in the administration. She will fade into obscurity with the knowledge that she has ruined the Clinton legacy.
