Is it me, or are the Clinton supporters now bashing BOTH Candidates
I've seen this in several threads today: "I'm a long-time <name issue stance here> and really, both candidates suck about it."

Really? Now that you know Clinton isn't going to win, you have to label them as both terrible on any given issue? What about McCain? McCain is going to be far worse than either on ANY ISSUE. And yet, the sour grapes have fermented into a fine vinegar already. And you're trying to baptize the nominee with it's foul stench. Please, just admit it already. Obama is the nominee. Instead of sabotaging our chances in November, how about helping the party take back the White House. If you need any motivation, just imagine what McCain will do...

1. Not me. I still think that Clinton will get the nomination.
If you know anything about the Clintons, the one thing that should always remain in your mind is that they never lose.

10. That statement is exactly why HRC supporters dont get respect
The only way that statement would be true is if Obama got less than 11,000 votes out of MI.

GL with that. Enjoy your spin.

21. lol thank you for so clearly illustrating your and HRC's supporters problem
YOU CANT THINK FOR YOURSELF.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_vote_count.html

With every state being counted, even the sham FL and ever bigger sham of MI, HRC is ahead +11,393.

That is with HRC getting 328,309 votes out of MI and BO getting 0.

Her lead is only a lead if BO got <11,393 votes out of MI.

13. No she's not. Unless you want to not count caucuses.

Why do you insist on stating KNOWN mistruths?

19. Read this and get back to me.
Her 214,000-vote margin in the Keystone State means that she has won the votes, in primaries and caucuses, of 15,112,000 Americans, compared to 14,993,000 for Obama.

If you add in the votes, as estimated by the folks at realclearpolitics.com, in the Iowa, Nevada, Washington and Maine caucuses, where state Democratic parties did not count the number of caucus-attenders, Clinton still has a lead of 12,000 votes.

Moreover, she may be able to maintain that lead, despite an expected Obama victory in North Carolina on May 6, by rolling up big popular vote margins in West Virginia on May 13, Kentucky on May 20 and Puerto Rico on June 1. So it's likely that Clinton will be able to argue that undecided super-delegates should heed the will of the people.

25. that's not the view of Rasmussen, that's Michael Barone's opinion
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 06:33 PM by onenote
and as he acknowledges, in order to find that HRC is leading the popular vote you have to count Michigan and Florida even though those states are not counted by the Party. Barone doesn't go on to mention that no super delegate with a half a brain is going to pretend that there is not a single voter in the entire state of Michigan that supports Obama. But Barone does admit that when it comes to the issue of whether the votes in Michigan and Florida should be given any weight, the arguments against considering them "will probably prevail."

Finally, in case you don't know who Michael Barone is, you can find his work prominently displayed on townhall.com and Fox News, which may tell you something about his objectivity.

26. Why are people saying this when it's patently false?
Obama: 14,418,784 49.2%
Clinton: 13,917,318 47.5%

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_vote_count.html

Obama is a 1/2 million votes ahead.
(not that it matters because it's about delegate count)

The only way Clinton comes out with the highest popular is if you include both Fl and Mi.
For arguments sake I could see it fair to add in Fl, which still leaves her behind Obama.
...but Mi ??
Obama wasn't even on the ballot and anybody who tries to claim that as 'fair' is living on another planet.

btw: I really don't think either state should get even a single delegate seated.

27. and here I thought
Bill Clinton lost at least one election in Arkansas.

Yes, I was pretty sure that was the case.

But apparently not since he never loses.

Well, also maybe except for getting universal health care passed.

Or, um, maybe except for getting gays in the military not watered down.
Yeah, Clintons are batting 1.000 for sure.

With everything that can be held against him, all the hypocrisy and the lies, the 'senior' moments and the flip flops. He has a white supremacist as an advisor, Parsley, Hagee, it's seriously nuts.

12. People wonder why the MSM doesn't critique him more,
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 06:16 PM by 4themind
when one of the bastions of democratic online activity, pays him relatively little mind. I made a post, trying to ask other about their opinions on hypothetical arguments that McCain could make in the GE, titled "The McCain argument" and I think it got like one or two response, maybe it was a deficiency in my posting style/argument style, but I'd still like to see his name around here some more, if only as to how a person's favored candidate would confront him.
