Damn
Full disclosure - I am an Edwards supporter that migrated to Obama - but I'll gladly support whoever gets the nom no matter what. Without holding my nose.

The reverb in my neck of the woods is hitting the fan on the new twist in the Obama/Wright saga. Pretty much everyone I know is middle/middle to upper/lower class. Mostly black, white or a mix of the two.

A lot of Obama supporters around here - and the mood is not good. They mostly think Wright has submarined Obama.

My piddly 2 cents.

2. Wright knew exactly what he was doing
and what the repercussions would be. I don't know what is motive was.

3. People are pissed and disappointed, but

resolved. No one is changing their vote over this. The disgust grows, and it doesn't help her.

It's still over.

6. The Democratic Party will get wiped out in November if Obama is the nominee.
Rev. Wright is a deal-breaker. The whole episode exposes Obama poor judgement.

5. Don't believe the hype, yo.
The media is a person with ADD in a world that's never heard of Ritalin. A week from now, they will find a new carcass to circle like a bunch of carrion.

7. I agree on the media - but
they set out on day one to signal white voters that Obama is an Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson type "bad" black man - not a "good" type one like Colin Powell. They will hammer away at it and keep doing so. Every "scandal" on Obama will be designed to signal the secret fears amongst the general white community.

The mood around here may change in a few days or a week, but a lot of folks around here think this is the one thing he won't be able to climb back from. Not because Obama is lacking anything. Far from it. But because too much of America is still lacking.

BTW - love the sig.
