Poll question: Regarding presidential elections, all other things being equal, which factor trumps for YOU?
And, no,you do not get other options. This poll is simply looking at those two options.

2. OPEN Government Democrat trumps Bushprotecting, Closed Government Democrat.
And it wouldn't matter WHAT COLOR or WHAT GENDER.

Female Democrat in the WH can cover up as much for BushInc as a Male Democrat in the WH did. Except now there is even MORE to cover up.

5. I cannot BELIEVE anyone is actually voting in this poll!!!
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 07:06 PM by Indydem
Is this actually how ANYONE who is a liberal and a progressive is choosing their candidate?

"Whom shall I vote for, the one with more melanin, or the one with their sex parts on the inside?"

Regodamndiculous.

9. Sorry. Not enough info to chose
You're asking me to chose between two different organs for president -- skin or genitalia.

I like to see the brain attached to the above.

11. None of the above
I don't consider either of those to be valid factors. Nor is sexual orientation.

Age per se is not an issue, but health is, so someone who is old enough to begin having things like Alzheimer's is a potential problem.

But thanks for asking.

13. other....
positions on issues that are important (I realize this is subjective), personal qualities and honesty. In other words, I would vote for a peridot woman as long as supports the following actions/ideas:
1. reform health care
2. bring our troops home
3. improve education and make higher ed more affordable AND get rid of the NCLB
4. focus on alternative energy sources rather than raping ANWR
5. reinstate estate tax and repeal bush tax cuts

but not if she:
1. talks about "annhilating Iran"
2. sees the ridiculous gas tax "vacation" as a good thing
3. ever implies that the repuke is somehow better than her democratic opponent in the primary
4. belongs to a christofascist religious group headed by Douglas Coe...

unless:
1. She is the democratic nominee, because despite what I view as some pretty serious flaws, she (the hypothetical peridot woman)
is still miles better than McCain...

I think that character, honesty and intelligence trumps all else. Race and gender do not matter at all to me.
