Poll question: Did Obama throw Wright under the bus
because he really disagreed with him or for political reasons?

Make up your own cliche, he did it.

25. Just a couple answers keeps people from splitting the vote.
That seems more accurate to me. done on purpose. If one has a comment... one can make an explanation in a post.

24. I like Wright, but he kind of brought this on himself and left Obama with little choice.
It's sad that the whole thing was even an issue, and doesn't speak highly to America's intelligence that we let this stuff become such a major issue with so much on the line. We often deserve what we get, and this is one more example of why.

26. I'm not into manufactured outrage. I'm focusing on the delegate count....
...and the super delegates who seem to be gearing towards Obama. It's winding down to the obvious choice, and it looks like we'll all get to prepare ourselves for the fight for Obama vs. McCain. Hope we can count you in on that...

Now that you mention it...I think that is a better answer. I got hung up on whether Obama supporters will agree or disagree with Obama or Wright and who they supported. If they chose for political reasons then they sided with wright.

but Rev. Wright crawled under the bus himself and practically demanded Obama let go of it.

34. Sure seems like it to me...almost like doing him a favor for Obama
and giving him a chance to really denounce his views because they were still hurtful to Obama in the eyes of the public. He didn't denounce him enough in his big speech. It worked! Obama has been saved by his hero.

27. I think it is possible he really disagreed with Wright.
I also think he probably felt betrayed and embarrassed my some of Wrights more divisive comments. Obama seemed to be doing fine bringing people of all races together until Wright opened his mouth and couldn't seem to stop himself. Then we had some serious racial tension going on.

I actually respect Obama's decision to speak out about all this, but what do I know? I'm just a dumb "racist Hillary supporter." :sarcasm:

40. John McCain fully accepts Hagee's support and does not denounce him.
Dobson, Robertson, and Falwell, among other christofascists, all said they support John McCain, with McCain standing there smiling on the stage with each of them.

they didn't really know each other. Those explanations make no sense, don't hold up.

47. I support Obama but I went with political reasons.
Because people in this country are too stupid to realize that what Obama's fucking pastor said has absolutely nothing to do with Obama or his platform. This is nothing but pure sensationalism created out of whole cloth. It's irrelevant. Barack didn't make the statements and he wasn't there when it happened. But because those who would benefit from such sensationalism made it into an issue, made it seem as if Obama himself had made the statements, it has become political and he had do it. He shouldn't have had to, it's ridiculous but that's the idiotic game we play to protect the greedy fascists while millions die and go hungry.
