5. Yes, it's starting to become very prevalent.
But now people are noticing and it'll get squashed.

13. The thing about throwing someone under the bus...
...is that there's a slight chance that they'll emerge unscathed.

One could duck, and the bus could just roll over--leaving you unharmed.

Now, if you throw someone under the bulldozer, that would be scary-bad. Throwing
someone under a weed whacker is far worse. And don't get me started about the
ramifications of throwing someone under a Bradley GT.

;)

14. I wish bush threw cheney under the bus..
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 10:07 PM by 4themind
I wish he threw libby under the bus (or at least not pardoning him), I wish he threw rummy under the bus sooner. The point is, there comes a point where, competence takes a place over loyalty, which means some times you change your MIND based on others ACTIONS. Obama reached that point toady it seems, if you think you wouldn't have, then you're free to not vote for him because of that, if it's a decisive issue for you.

If he threw wright under the bus, it's because wright ran him OVER with it first ('he's a politician, he'll say what it takes to get him elected' that's not what obama's claiming to be a strength of his campaign, regardless if you think he's lived up to it or not)

22. Bush tried to throw Cheney under the bus

The bus lost.

Actually, they did try. Remember when they gave him the job of finding the vice presidential candidate. That was to give him something to do to keep him out of their hair, but he pulled a swifty and got himself appointed president.

17. I agree. It's time for another vehicle to be substituted in place of bus.
Golf cart. Or Ford Fairmont.

I once had a Ford Fairmont
If you threw anything under it, you destroy the Ford and whatever you threw under it would remain unscathed.

25. "Meme" Is Another One
Never heard it before a month or so ago, but when I looked it up, it was clear the meaning has been recently mangled by its utilitarian overuse.
