Some people like Wright's words while Obama is distancing himself. The Clintons can play both sides and possibly win.

6. Wright was also one of the pastors spiritually counciling him about lying about a BJ
The Clinton supporters should get to high and mighty about Wright, they have their own laundry

In my view Wright was a very selfish person for bringing up this controversy again

Yes, he has every right to do it, and yes the media have every right to focus on it, and other meaningless dribble

Thank you Wright for the distraction. The Clinton camp thanks you, the mccain camp thanks you, but most of all, the MSM thanks you so they don't have to discuss the issues

You and Ralph Nader have done so well for the country

his being invited wasn't a lie. The extent of the relationship may have been exaggerated, but who knows?

Prayer Breakfast Sways Ministers

By Hanna Rosin
Washington Post Staff Writer
Saturday, September 12, 1998; Page A10

With tearing eyes and a trembling voice, President Clinton succeeded yesterday in convincing a room full of religious leaders that he was genuinely sorry about his affair with Monica S. Lewinsky and embarrassed about the way he handled it. One after another, ministers, rabbis and imams left the White House prayer breakfast saying they were moved by the sight of the most powerful man in the world humbling himself so thoroughly before them.

Dozens of those who spoke afterward said they were confident that the speech marked a turning point on Clinton's road to personal salvation. Even many who had once been reluctant to forgive the president set aside any concerns they had about being used to provide moral cover and conveyed their approval.

The Rev. T.D. Jakes, a popular Dallas preacher, said he was not a Clinton supporter but he saw the president's speech as a powerful narrative of redemption. "Americans can relate to his human frailty and are looking to see if it's possible to restore fallen people," said Jakes. "What message would we send to the American people if we tell them it's impossible to change? That would be far more devastating."

38. I think we know why. Why would Bill Clinton continue to have sexual
affairs after he became president? What was more important to him? A little gratification, or the country?

This wasn't just a one time fling, Bill Clinton had been whoring around for years, and there is no way Hillary didn't know about it

That she stayed with him tells me much about her

Clinton Faces Test At Prayer Breakfast

By Hanna Rosin
Friday, September 11, 1998; Page A34

When President Clinton steps before an audience of 125 religious leaders at his prayer breakfast this morning, he will be addressing a group of ministers conflicted about how to respond to a White House sex scandal and under intense pressure from their own peers to uphold strict moral standards.
http://sweetness-light.com/archive/bill-clinton-used-wright-for-lewinsky-protection
Many of those invited to the annual event expect Clinton, who takes comfort in spiritual settings, to make his most humble apology yet. And they were anticipating brief remarks, followed by a discussion that would feel something like a Bible study, where the errant parishioner and his room full of pastors hash out the very human questions of fallen nature, confession, and forgiveness.

Among the invitees at the prayer breakfast are a core group of supporters who are prepared to accept the president’s apology and forgive him, and who believe it is not their place to judge him further. But the supporters are also feeling pressure from some fellow ministers and in some cases members of their own congregations, who believe it is the religious community’s responsibility to openly condemn the president for setting a bad example for the nation. By going to the breakfast and remaining silent, say the critics, the president’s religious allies are providing moral cover for his failings…

The White House characterized the invitee list as diverse, with representatives of many religions and races: Catholics, Protestants, Jews and Muslims, among them. The list included a variety of leaders from different traditions such as Imam W.D. Mohammed of the Muslim American Society, a splinter group of the Nation of Islam, T.D. Jakes, a popular black preacher in Dallas, Jesse L. Jackson, several reform rabbis, and Father Leo O’Donovan, president of Georgetown University…

Some religious leaders not invited to the breakfast have criticized the president and his supporters, even calling for his resignation. These critics were wary of the president’s contrition, arguing that he tricks the nation into believing he feels remorse by using the language of faith to his own advantage…

Many of those invited hoped the group would not get stuck on the scandal and move on to other topics. “I’m not going to provide moral cover for the president,” said Rachel Mikva, a reform rabbi in New York and daughter of former White House counsel Abner Mikva. “But I would love it if we could focus on the many other more important issues facing our nation.”

So the photo was taken on the very Mr. Clinton asked for forgiveness for “ridin’ dirty” with Monica Lewinsky. (And Mr. Clinton got the ministers forgiveness, too.)

since this is what Hillary will be attacked with in the GE.

18. When a man has to find his words
threw the preacher and disreguards the fact that the precher too runs out of words and goes seeking- you than have to consider the odd or flip side of a truth.Did he really write it? Could he himself have that audacity of thought? Or is he really just another you connect the dots!

Can I use that line preacher? Indeed, help yourself says the preacher ,thats what I do! The grapes are always of abundance ,just so long as the vine don,t see who,s picking!

And I,am sure he wrote that all by himself!

It,s just a higher transaction!

The time for change has come and where that line was stolen from. Republicans steal campaign methods from democrates and the other way around. They tell one another what the new plan is. In the very same way lawers must show one another what they got-no surprises in the court room! Would it surprise you to know the republicans have already used Obama,s so called new style campaigning!

That means it,s all been done befor! It ain,t nothing new.

And I,ll tell ya something else the republican guy is just like Obama, he thinks it,s all about his rules. And he,s a loser.

Don,t think you can fool people ,It,s all about information sharing and unless you got something original of youself ,your just another you connect the dots. So your telling us that Obama is the uncorrupted candadate! Is that about rightly so! Flabbergasting in the most outrageous ways!
If only Bill would have kept the old lock on his zipper and if only Wright would have kept the old zipper on his lips at least until the race for the democratic nomination is over and done. But that,s not what happened and thats not what,s happening.

Monica blows and Chicago is the windy city ,home of the blow hard winds. How can these two places in time connect so seemingly preversely! Only Bad bad Leroy Brown knows for sure!

Excuse me folks, I was just getting ready to to get my hat when she caught my eye and I pulled it back ,than I ordered myself a couple of shots and beers, oh no- did I fall in love with da roller derby Queen -,a bleach blond bomber with a streek of mean and she knows how to hussel and she knows how to nuckle and fight.Excuse me again I,am about to take flight,Did I fall in love with da roller derby queen, round and round ,all rouind and round! mean-est hunk woman I have ever seen! Hell ya ,all round and round!

Edited on Wed Apr-30-08 12:22 AM by nebula
He could have pointed out Bill's own hypocritical close relationship
with the Rev. Wright and that would have effectively killed the issue right then and there!

But you can bet your ass the GOP won't hesitate to use this photo
against HILLARY in the GE to show the world what a hypocrite she is if she is the nominee!
