I carry with me not just their dreams but the dreams of people like them all across our country, people who embrace hard work and opportunity who never waiver in the face of adversity, who never stop believing in the promise of America.

Bill George, president of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, is announcing his support for Hillary Rodham Clinton's bid for the Democratic nomination for president.
Hillary Rodham Clinton will pick up the support of another influential superdelegate this morning when Bill George declares his support for the senator from New York.
George, the president of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, had been one of six remaining undeclared Pennsylvania superdelegates.
The remaining five are all Democratic members of Congress -- U.S. Reps. Tim Holden, Chris Carney, Jason Altmire, Mike Doyle and Bob Brady.
On Tuesday, Clinton picked up the support of another superdelegate, Mike Easley, the governor of North Carolina, which holds its primary on Tuesday,
With George's support, Clinton extends her lead over fellow Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama to 16-5 among Pennsylvania superdelegates.
Superdelegates are the roughly 800 Democratic party leaders and elected officials who will vote along with elected delegates for a nominee. Unlike the elected delegates who run pledged for a specific candidate, superdelegates are free to vote for any candidate.
With neither Clinton nor Obama able to win enough delegate votes in the remaining nine primary and caucus contests to clinch the nomination, coveted superdelegates hold the key to deciding the nomination………

5,000 Oregonians, Five Hosts, the Register-Guard, One Candidate, All Asking: Where's Our Debate?
PORTLAND, OR – In just five days, more than 5,000 Oregonians have signed an on-line petition at www.debateoregon.com urging Sen. Barack Obama to join Hillary Clinton in Oregon for two presidential primary debates. Five respected organizations have offered to host an event. And today, the Register-Guard, which earlier endorsed Obama for President, said that "One or more Oregon debates between the two Democratic contenders would be useful to voters in Oregon, the West and throughout the nation."
"Senator Obama is currently spending millions on television ads across our state. Certainly he can spare a day or two to let Oregonians know what he believes beyond his 30-second ads. Just like the Oregon Voters Pamphlet, debates are a wise and time-honored tradition of Oregon's democracy. We have sponsors and we have Oregon support--the only roadblock to historic Oregon debates is Senator Obama."
Last week, Hillary Clinton released the Oregon Compact, an 11-point detailed policy proposal designed to address a number of the specific Federal issues facing Oregon. (Details on the Compact can be found at www.oregoncompact.com) .
Hillary simultaneously invited Obama to join her in Oregon for two debates – one focused on rural issues.
Media, political, government and academic institutions around the state and nationally have already offered to host the event, including:
* Willamette University in Salem;
* KGW-TV (NBC) in Portland;
* KOBI-TV (NBC) in Medford;
* PBS/NOVA and the American Association for the Advancement of Science; and
* Association of Oregon Counties and Oregon State University Extension Service;
Oregonians who support efforts to give the state a voice in the primary process are urged to sign the petition a www.debateoregon.com..

Hillary Clinton Honors Workers’ Memorial Day
Charleston, WV - Hillary Clinton honored Workers’ Memorial Day today by pledging to continue fighting to improve workplace safety and protect all working Americans.
"Today, as we remember those who have lost their lives in the line of work, we must honor our responsibility to all working Americans by improving safety in the workplace. As president, I will continue fighting to protect our working men and women," said Senator Clinton.
Steven Perdue, a business representative with the Sheet Metal Workers also advocated improving workplace safety and praised Hillary Clinton’s commitment to working families.
"We have come a long way in improving workplace safety and workers’ rights, but we still have a long way to go. Hillary Clinton has a strong record of fighting for working families and the right of every American to a safe work environment. I am confident that as president, Hillary will continue fighting for the working men and women in West Virginia and across the country who are looking for a President who will make working Americans and their families a top priority once again," said Perdue.
After the tragedies at the Sago and Alma mines in 2006, Sen. Clinton co-sponsored the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act to strengthen protections for our nation's miners.
Sen. Clinton is an original co-sponsor of the Protecting America's Workers Act, which would expand OSHA protection, clarify the safety protections that employers must provide, expand civil and criminal penalties for OSHA violators, increase transparency in the OSHA citation process, and strengthen protections for OSHA whistleblowers……..

Clinton Campaign Announces West Virginia Veterans for Hillary Steering Committee
(Charleston, WV) - The Clinton campaign today announced the formation of the West Virginia Veterans for Hillary Steering Committee. The committee includes retired military personnel and veterans who served during peacetime and in war, including World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and Iraqi Freedom. Brigadier General Jack Yeager, Ret. will serve as the Steering Committee Chair.
"Hillary Clinton is a champion for veterans, soldiers, and military families. She is ready to be Commander-in-Chief on day one," said Brigadier General Jack Yeager, Ret. "The West Virginia Veterans for Hillary Steering Committee will be working in every corner of the state to mobilize support for Clinton. She has a strong record of achievement on issues affecting the military community and will be a staunch advocate for veterans in the White House."
Hillary has fought hard to improve the lives of veterans and military families. In the Senate, Clinton worked to gain access to TRICARE for National Guard and Reserve members. Hillary also fought to improve treatment for post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. The nearly 1,000 West Virginia citizens that join the armed forces each year, along with members of the Army and Air National Guard from the state, now receive regular health screenings to detect Traumatic Brain Injury, thanks to legislation Hillary introduced.
Clinton was instrumental in passing legislation that increased the military survivor benefit from $12,000 to $100,000. She also sponsored legislation to immediately end the prohibition on concurrent receipt that prevents many disabled veterans from receiving both military retirement pay and VA disability pay at the same time.
As President, Hillary will enact a GI Bill of Rights for the Twenty-First Century and will continue fighting to ensure that America keeps its promises to our men and women in uniform. Clinton will work to ensure that all of the 1.8 million uninsured veterans in this country have access to quality, affordable health care. As President, she will commit to getting a fair, accurate, and timely decision for every veteran filing a disability claim.
Veterans interested in becoming involved with the West Virginia Veterans for Hillary Steering Committee should e-mail WVeterans@hillaryclinton.com or contact the Clinton campaign state headquarters at 304-346-1913.
