2. Let's take Virginia.
There is the area close to DC. We should make efforts.

4. Suddenly Bush's war chest isn't looking so huge.
I am just going to take a moment and chuckle that Bush has to spend money in states he wasn't planning on having to spend money in.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

OK.

That is great news! Kerry could actually take a southern state or two away from Bush!

6. he and the RNC spend money like fools - they must have gone through
at least $50 million on worthless ads so far!

Their attitude, 'It's other peoples' money and we can get more where that came from,' must be what drives their money management.

9. Virginia is doable, but we have to get rid of old assumptions
The state has a long border with North Carolina, a lot of rural voters who are very attainable due to Edwards and his rural planks, the military vote and lots of gentrified voters in the D.C. area.

Just as it took quite a few elections cycles for the Democrats to figure out that there wasn't a solid South anymore, things are a'changin' in some of the Southern states with Hi-tech enclaves, mill closures and po' folk in the military who are being abused and then shunted aside.

Class warfare is the trick, and it has to be done deftly: you don't vilify the rich and scream for redistribution, you call for people to pay their fair share and help out in times of need.

Besides, my Dad will help; I got him to vote for Edwards in the primary, and he can't stand this administration.
