My Personal Conspiracy Theory (Tinfoil Hat Time!)
I expect Barack Obama to become the Democratic Presidential Nominee.

Then I expect him to be assassinated before things get too far into -- probably before the convention, which will make room for some other candidate. The 'powers that be' will be suitably shocked -- SHOCKED I SAY! -- about it, but he'll be like a whole bunch of other Sainted Martyrs to the cause, while serving as a suitable object lesson about what this country isn't ready for (or so the media will tell us).

I don't think it will matter who the (weak) Democratic candidate is -- most likely the mud that has been slung will have sufficiently splattered Senator Clinton, so its probably not going to be her. "The voters didn't have time to get to know fill-in-the-blank'" will be the meme the media puts out, while Grandpa McCain is so-o-o-o dependable and likable and stuff. Like Reagan, you know.

:eyes:

But, with all of the sorrow, grief, hand-wringing, etc., I think it will be an easy shoo-in for any necessary election fraud to be within a 'plausible reported' thing for Senator McCain to become president.

Then I think McCain will pay back his handlers by ignoring all of the crimes they've committed, and it will continue to be 'business as usual' with all of the usual players. Gas prices will eventually stabilize at around $5 a gallon (for a while), and health care can be ignored some more, and our veterans can be ignored, while the march toward war with Iran goes on, guaranteeing some serious profits for those who have engineered the Perpetual War Machine that is our government at the moment.

Its just a theory. I hope its wrong. I hope the Democrat becomes President and jail time for all those who deserve it heralds the Return of the Rule of Law.

But I doubt it.

42. This is why I believe
that despite conventional wisdom, Obama must choose a running mate who is to the left of him or someone who scares the powers-that-be even more than himself. Practically--in terms of "electability"--I don't know how he will walk this tight-rope, but I believe that he is a wise enough man to pull it off.

4. I'm afraid, and nausea has definitely been induced.
With Republicans killing off thousands of people so easily, not just over in Iraq but here in the United States (health care/New Orleans come to mind REALLY fast), and the mysterious plane crashes of top Democratic Senators/unsolved white powder substances all over the Democratic leadership offices, it doesn't seem as far fetched as it should.

I want to be wrong. I want them to be 'play by the rules' folks who bow to the whims of the (uneducated?) masses.

But then I wake up, and reality is *really* depressing.

i know it's hard not to be cynical, but this too is self-defeating if over-indulged. Rather, while I believe skepticism, if moderated rather than imbalanced, is essential to the operations of any healthy, pragmatic mind, don't forget what our venerable elder yoda said:

“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense great fear in you.”

not messing with you. i believe with all my heart, a heart nourished by a lifetime of balancing studies of politics with studies of the humanities, i honestly trust that we shall overcome. at the most essential cruxes of our history we if not harmonize then at least mediate the two, and never has the opportunity been more ripe than now. keep the faith, and remember not everyone is effed. :)

13. Its the elephant in the room, and no one can talk about it?
Because we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. day for what reason again? And Malcom X died from what? And John F. Kennedy died how? And Bobby Kennedy died how?

And the Republicans really want a Strong Democrat in office because that will be good for the country.

Yeah, right.... :sarcasm:

I am talking about FEAR. Address it, solve it, tell me why Barack Obama had no police protection a few months ago in Texas, and that the man is impervious to bullets/falling airplanes, and that there were good and reasonable answers for why planes keep falling out of the sky when Democratic Senators fly in them.

And keep your own ignorant opinions to yourself -- I bluntly stated this is a tin-foil hat thing, and I'm sticking by that.

30. There have been many attempts since, but they don't get reported anymore.
Isn't there a guy in jail who went after Clinton because of Jodi Foster?

Whatever.

But I'm sure your personal assurances that the white powder the Democratic leadership received wasn't *really* an assassination attempt, plus a whole bunch of plane crashes with Democratic Senators in them weren't *really* anything to worry about is going to assuage the worry.

Nothing to see here. Move along. Nothing to see.

that seriously. And yet, I know that we don't know the genesis of that anthrax. Don't put words in my mouth. If you had any decency, you wouldn't have.

I think fear mongering sucks, Ida. It's that simple. On a meta scale, I think it just feeds negative energy. And on a more specific basis, I think it does nothing but produce fear and anxiety.

YOU are fearmongering with your sad little tin foil crap.

23. That fear is with me also...
Dec. 9 2000, I had a very strange dream. In my dream we were told to go out of our kitchens and when we did we were in this building that stood tall and majestic with four windows, out of these windows one was natural events, earthquakes, hurricanes, etc. out of another window was famine, out of another was war, and the last was biblical events. As my family and I were mingling with the many other people, I saw Al Gore in white leather patten shoes, I walked up to him and said, "I'm sorry you didn't get the presidency, Al." He put his hand on my shoulder and replied, "My name, That is okay, I did more out of office than I could have done in office."

When I woke up the next morning, needless to say, I was very disturbed, three days later well you know what happened.....

I am not religious or spiritual, but that dream I had has haunted me, and I worry. As the time goes by, I am starting to like Obama more and more, not necessarily as a politician but as a man, that I think, no, that I know will make a great president. I am scared to like him as much as I like Gore, just for that simple reason of that stupid but prophetic dream.

This is very good advise, I know that I have told myself this and my friends have too, but I guess it is the "100 times theory."
That is the first time I have repeated this dream so public, there is more that happened in the dream, that I am not going to write, because I don't want to be called a conspiracy freak, lol.
Thank you again.

so that we all understand the magnitude of the possibility and have a contingency plan to counter the inevitable assassination.

Don't forget, the 'black nobility' had JFK Jr assassinated because he was about to run for the open NY senate seat in 1999, which would have interfered with the Bilderberg-approved candidate: Hillary Clinton.
