WARNING - NO LIVING DEM IS ELECTABLE!
Edited on Wed Apr-30-08 11:19 AM by demwing
Our ONLY chance in November is to run a photograph of JFK - no wait, We'll CLONE JFK, Run the clone and guarantee the Democratic party continues to exist for another 4 years!

IT"S OUR ONLY CHANCE!

Now, what dead VP would run well with JFK? We need a unifying ticket, a Southerner, best he/she is (or "was" - sorry!) a governor. Preferably from the most recent century (I'm not sure if DNA degrades after 100 years) Lawton Chiles of Florida would be great - never lost an election, and not TOO dead, at least not for the Democratic party of 2008. We NEED new blood! Though, I guess that technically, it would be old blood.

/ :sarcasm:

Come on people, PLEAASSE? Can we contain ourselves a little bit? The Democratic Party has had this election handed to us on a golden platter. What are we running against?

1. War - endless war on multiple fronts!
2. Soaring energy costs
3. Soaring food costs
4. A standing President who is nearly universally despised!
5. An opposing candidate old enough to collect Social Security!

And probably dozens of equally critical issues that weigh around the Republican party like a lead weight tied to a drowning man's neck.

And what are we running with?

1. A 50 states national party organization
2. The ability to financially BURY the Republicans.
3. Two historic candidates, either of whom will FURTHER energize the base
4. A means (the Internet) by which to side-step the MSM and get our message out.
5. A huge, national desire for change. Essential, elemental change.

And probably dozens of equally critical issues that lift the Democratic party like a set of wings, and it's our time to fly!

Why are some of us in a panic? Probably because the stakes are SO high, we're worried about missing the opportunity. Well, IMO, the easiest ways to miss this opportunity are to not identify the opportunity in the first place, then to constantly question ourselves on every action and strategic step.

If we go forward with fear of loss in our political hearts, we'll see every issue through that patina, that gloom of fear. And that's what we'll represent in November.

Don't fear, friends. We don't have to dig up the heroes of our past in order to pave a way into the future. We have everything we need, sitting at the table, right in front of us.

2. With the success the Repukes have had of stealing past elections and
with billions that corporations (particularly the oil companies) have to insure their interests are maintained;does anyone actually think that 2008 is any different than 2000 or 2004?....They have much more to lose than an election. Just look at the phony polls being published and braodcast by the corporate media showing Mccain even or leading either candidate at times..Once the MSM starts the spin for Mccain will we really have a chance and thats just part of it..Repukes have electronic voting tabs on their siide..So yes I do fear a loss by Republican/Corporate theft......

3. That is right .
So, pick one and stick with them. Be ready to fight for them. Defend them with the truth to the best of your ability. And don't be so fearful of losing.
