But here's a great photo of Edwards greeting his children, Emma Claire and Jack, when he returned to Raleigh today.

12. My letter to Fox re: Carl Cameron
Please help me understand this video clip. Might this be crossing the line on unbiased political reporting.

2. Reminds me of Jack Kennedy with John John and Caroline
you know what these fascists do to young popular leaders like JFK.

Pray for them to be kept safe

3. Can we flip/flop the ticket? *kidding*
But what a wonderful photo.

I wonder if * ever stood tall enough to kneel down and hug a child.

Somehow I doubt it.

Detached, demeaning hair-tousler and chest-poker would be what I would expect from *. The kind of adult kids silently despise.

4. Hah I know
Edwards is more likeable than Kerry, but Kerry is a good man who has usually stood for what is right.

5. It's really Kerry's turn to be president
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 04:46 PM by Hippo_Tron
Not to say that he has a god given right to it or that Edwards shouldn't have run but Kerry's been waiting a long time for this and I think he will finally get it. If Edwards wants to run in 2012 I'd imagine that he won't have much trouble getting the nomination (that is assuming that they get re-elected).

7. Easy. Deep cleansing breaths.
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 05:11 PM by alphafemale
That was a playful remark on my part.

Of course we are not really going to switch the ticket.

But good involved Daddy/presidents with young kids in the White House (under 10 or so) have always found favor.

The good Daddy image on the ticket in anyway, is anything but a LOSER.

wup. typo

10. Yeah, continue bashing those Clark supporters.
That's a good way to get them motivated to... do nothing for Kerry/Edwards.

15. You call it bullying crap, I call it logic
Many of us backed our respective candidates in the primary (count me as a Wes Winger) so that we could get rid of the current regime. We all had the same goal but different means to achieve that goal. We have a very good chance to achieve that goal. . .everyone has a choice as to whether or not support the ticket. If you still believe in the goal of regime change, logic would dictate that you do what you could to support the Kerry/Edwards ticket. Do what you want, but if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.

Army of One.

Sound familiar?

It's what Clark believes in.

19. I have no "feelings" about it...I think it's stupid.
As a conscientious objector, "army of one" doesn't impress me. Sorry.

I think knee jerk criticism is objectionable whether it's leveled at Dean, Kucinich, Nader, Clark....Get the picture?

18. It's not about immaturity, it's about having
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 10:22 PM by Jonathan Little
one pro-Iraq-war ticket against a pro-Iraq-war ticket! It's very disappointing, and I'm not a peace activist. How can you NOT be concerned about this? (Oh well, I guess there's nothing we can do now.)

Luckily for Kerry, I'm not a single issue voter so I'm already on his/your side. I'm just really tired of seeing people on this board continuing to shit on Clark and his supporters.

24. It is about ignorance and immaturity. . .
If you followed General Clark he REPEATEDLY stated that despite his opposition to this war that voters SHOULD NOT PUNISH CANDIDATES who voted to support the war. If you PAID any attention to General Clark during the campaign you would know this. As you know General Clark will be one of the biggest boosters of this tickets and he hopes that his passionate supporters will do the same. As I said previously GROW UP!

And please oh please accuse me of "shitting on Clark and his supporters" many on DU will tell you I am one of Clark's biggest supporters and others will take that I played a major role in his campaign so save your lectures. . .ask yourself WWWD (what would Wes do?). I think many us are trying to stay loyal by supporting the ticket.

27. You didn't even read my post.
I'm not sure why you're attacking me like this, because like I said earlier, I'm already on your side.

This is America where we question our leaders, right? Or is being a Wes Clark supporter some sort of religion where we don't question anything that our leader says? I am not doing anything to "PUNISH" Kerry by expressing my disappointment on these forums.

What would Wes think of you berating a fellow Clark and Kerry supporter?
