Serious question
Why would a right-winger like William Kristol, who I despise, back Hillary?

4. Hey your Auburn colors are showing
Super patriots like Krystol have nothing to do but stir up shit on the political landscape until after the Dem convention then they'll go back to stirring up shit to make a living. I'd prefer the likes of Krystol and his ilk accompany bush to the Hague.

5. Because the Repugs. seem to believe that McCain vs Clinton gives them an edge....
Edited on Wed Apr-30-08 02:11 PM by LakeSamish706
I have no understanding of why they think that, but they do.. :dilemma:

Or a more sinister possibility is that some sort of deal has been worked out whereby either McCain or Clinton would not bring any kind of Investigations against the Bush Administration to light.

6. Good question: 1. Repubs know something about Hillary that they can beat in Nov.
2. They know if she wins that she will be on their side of all business issues. No change in status quo.
3. They can not abide a black man in power.
4. They don't own Barack and they own Hillary.

7. Aren't they in the same bible study group?
I'm really am not being snarky. Someone a while back posted a link to a list of members in Hillary's Bible Study group and I'm pretty sure he was on it.

And yes, I really am too lazy to do a DU search to find it. :)

10. they at least respect her... they may not like her politics, but they like her.
Edited on Wed Apr-30-08 02:12 PM by Texas Hill Country
they dont really respect McCain, who is seen as a maverick and a bit traitorous, and they really dont like Obama...

they like and admire the tough smart lady that hillary is and she made great strides in bipartisanship... MUCH moreso than Obama

16. Correct
Several republicans have said this. They have also known her for a long time and are well aware of her Senate record.

13. Serious answer. Obama has been supported right here by Kristol, Noonan, Goldberg, Sullivan et al.
Obama followers start threads bragging about rw support, but when a rw says a good thing about Clinton, the Obama followers get more than a tad nutty.

Get over yourselves.

The MTV generation on Obamalade. The desperation of dreamers. The unreality of expectations. A leader who promises change, undefined, articulated in the most vaporous terms. Don’t question; just believe. Don’t think; just believe. Don’t hesitate, just believe.

Obama! Obama! Obama!

Woe to those who hear the word and yet refuse to believe.

Creepy, I tell you. Really creepy.
