Poll question: Dean supporters: Gov. Dean as VP with: |
|
Just for fun...
Assume for the sake of argument that Gov. Dean falls short of the nomination itself; which ticket would most likely get your vote?

If you asked people to weigh in with a comment. Too easy for non-Dean supporters to vote for their guy. (see post #7)

I suspect the candidate with the most votes atm IS the one most Dean folks would prefer at the top. JMHO, of course. :)

20. No - I think Clark/Dean would be unbeatable. Clarks resume + Deans |

supporters (and his experience in domestic issues). I suspect many others may feel the same. They really "complete" each other. I'm not that crazy about Dean personally - but I'm a "logical" voter and can see that ticket winning big time.
The reverse: You can't have the National security and defense credentials at the bottom of the ticket now. Maybe before 9-11.

2. Since Braun is my second choice... |

And I'd love to see a Dean/Braun ticket, I'm gonna go with a Braun/Dean ticket! ;-)

There have been a few skirmishes, but nothing like Kerry/Dean, Lieberman/Dean, or Gebhardt/Dean.
Plus before Clark entered the race, they talked & seemed quite friendly.

I don't see them hating one another. I think that is nothing more than wishful thinking from some folks who would like to see a party split.

4. I'm not even interested in going there. |

If all logic so far has failed, then think about this....
If *bush has 200 million dollars, how can any of the other candidates ever compete aginst them with 45 million?
Dean has the power....So lets keep the focus where it belongs.

17. I'd love the Clark/Dean ticket, but doubt it will happen |

I don't feel that Clark will select Dean, rather think he would pick John Kerry or Graham for vice president. :eyes: :)

A candidate with a huge, energized base and a proven fund-raising machine makes a VERY attractive pick...

19. I agree, and I think either combo is still possible |
|
Edited on Sat Jan-03-04 06:47 PM by eileen_d
I think both the Clark/Dean and Dean/Clark tickets are still possible. Even though Clark has made statements that he's not running for VP -- honestly, people should know that it is not in Clark's interest to talk about being a VP unless he decides to stop running for president, and not a moment sooner. (And the reverse is true for Dean as well). I'm kind of surprised that people don't get that.
Of course I hope Clark keeps running for president until the day he is inaugurated in 2005, but hey - that's me. ;)
