Poll question: Clinton supporters only! |

Gas tax holiday... BS or good plan?
$25 - $30 in savings is it? Over three months? Is that it? Really?
And PLEASE check in after you vote. Rather not have any "those aren't really her supporters voting" whining going on here.

4. The windfall tax will pay for that! |
|
We hope!
The thing that burns me the most about it is not just the teensy tiny savings it is... but also the fact that oil companies will just bump their prices... it's the free market, baby! Whatever the traffic will bear!
(And if you notice how many MORONS are STILL driving SUV's... the market will bear a lot more, it seems. Say hello to $5 gas!)

On one hand, it will give immediate relief to consumers and small businesses, especially during this, the last summer which we much endure the energy rapists in the White House.
On the other hand, I see this as a very short term solution because as consumer and small business usage rises, so will gas and oil giant profits.
Will oil companies be taxed on the back end of the holiday to make up for the tax revenue lost?
Will there be a longer term solution for being raped at the pump by oil companies?
Investments in renewable energy?
Yadda yadda yadda?

3. It's only a $25/$30 benefit to consumers though isn't it? |

As for the windfall tax... that has to get through Congress... which while I would HOPE it's a given, due to (hopefully) having a Dem majority... I sadly think is definitely NOT a given, Dem majority or not. x(

5. I don't think we have many options as long as Valvoline Boy dwells in the White House. n/t |
