Don't Worry. It Will Backfire On Them. Grace and Dignity Wins Out |
|
everytime.
By the way, why is it that we have national holidays for presidents who were racist slaveowners? I don't have a problem with it, but I'm wondering why is it so "outrageous" that Trinity gave an award to Farakhan?

1. Because only white ministers |
|
can have outrageous views. GOP politicians will crawl on their knees to lick the balls of Robertson, as they did to Falwell, despite the fact these men were crooks, borderline psychotic, and hateful preachers. Even Jimmy Swaggart, who crouched naked on a motel dresser, while watching a prostitute masturbate, was able to get back on TV to separate idiots from their money in the name of Jaysus.
No GOP politician has ever been asked to repudiate any of these poisonous charlatans.

2. trying to think of an example where grace and dignity won out. |
|
Unfortunately, the only example that comes to mind is Fred Rogers and he was just a TV host.

4. That is really sad of you to say. I see it all the time, in everyday |
|
life.
Perhaps that's why Hillary can't win. This idea of praising the willingness to do anything to win is soooo old. People are sick of it.
Why don't you stick around then and watch it happen so you can add Obama to your short list?

9. Didn't realize you were talking about the election. |
|
All right, I pretended not to realize you making a veiled slam on the character of a Dem. candidate.
Frankly, there is nothing graceful about the "unofficial" character assasignation campaign you folks have been waging for the past few months. HC is running a rather ordinary if marginally effective campaign and you folks treat her like she's some kind of monster. No, I don't think asshole from Illinois is going to make it onto the short list.
What I find really scarey is that you folks are buying into this well-cultivated image. Hope and change and being above it all is fine for the masses, but I am really disappointed to see so many ostensibly smart people buying into it to. He's not a savior. He's not the messiah. And if he's above it all, it only means he will have no idea how to govern if elected.
Everytime I think O won't be so bad, some true believer manages to put me right back on the fence. I don't want a president who has millions of people fooled into absolute personal loyalty. And it doesn't help that you keep pissing me off over the scape-goating of a stand-up, qualified and above all realist candidate solely, and I mean SOLELY, because she is in your way.

14. Hey! Let's adopt their tactics and become like them to win |
|
After all, the ends justify the means.
And then when we get in, we can go back to being the good guys again.
If we can remember how . . .

18. Just because you think human nature is that simplistic... |
|
...does not mean we are all required to be children in order to conform to it. Besides, HC hasn't done anything shameful. Her criticisms of Obama are completely accurate. It is O that has adopted the tactics of Bush by having his supporters like you accuse your opponents of everything your guy is guilty of. Kind of like what you are doing now. O has orchestrated a media and internet driven smear campaign designed to sabotage another D. candidate to the point of being unelectable in November while he sits above it all and denies involvement. That is exactly what Bush did to us in 02 and 04. The other Bush did it in 88. You sold out and for what? An empty suit who can't win the swing states in November and can't govern if he does. McC vs. O? Four more years of fuck-ups either way. :-(

6. That election was clearly stolen if you ask me. In my book, Gore |
|
won that election, and yes, with grace and dignity.
