New Poll results from Missouri and Virginia

New Poll results from Missouri and Virginia
These are from Survey USA and shows tight races for president in both Missouri and Virginia.

Bush is slightly ahead in Missouri 48-46 percent in a poll of 755 likely votes with a +/- of 3.6%. Poll taken 7-6 to 7-8

Bush is ahead in Virginia 50-45 percent in a poll of 686 likely voters taken in the same time period with a +/- of 3.8%

3. MO has been very hard hit under *.
The economy in MO has taken a beating under *, something which is true in general of the 'Rust Belt' states. Except for IN, KS, NE and OK, don't assume any Midwestern state is out of reach...

4. I've seen Virginia even closer.
Rasmussen puts the Bush lead in Virginia at 3 points. It's been steady at 3 for two months now.

And the Virginia polling data DOES NOT INCLUDE EDWARDS. Polling ended June 30th. The current numbers could show a tie or even a slight Kerry lead.

If Virginia is in play, that's a bad sign for *.
