10. Bush-Powell leading Kerry-Edwards by nine points...
in the Newsweek poll, with Bush gaining eight points with Powell, and Kerry losing seven, strikes fear in my heart. (What the hell is WRONG with people???) I doubt the cabal would go down if cutting Dick Cheney loose could save it.

12. Yeah, but you know.....
People are really just answering that question hypothetically. I think that the negative press they would have to endure from dumping Snarly McSnarl would cancel out any bounce they might get. As someone said earlier, it's a lose lose situation for Bush. He dumps his "VP" then he looks desperate and unloyal; he keeps him on then it's a drag on the ticket because nobody likes him.

I was talking to someone the other day who claimed that in his heyday Ronald Reagan was the "Nations Grandpa." If that's the case then (big if) then Cheney is the "Nations Grumpy Boozer Uncle Who Always Ruins Thanksgiving."

15. Just voted in it myself
The results look promising.

I personally like the results of these polls rather than ones done by pollsters. They indicate the king of person who is likely to vote, whther in a poll, or by showing up on election day. THey require a degree of personal effort that doenst occur in polls where you are being telephoned.
