Poll question: Should Al Gore Be A Keynote Speaker At The Convention?
They haven't even lined up a spot for him yet. This makes me so mad. This guy has been treated like crap by this party since 2000. He recieved more votes than any Dem in history and yet everyone runs from him.

3. People are such sellouts

People want to claim Gore won, yet they run from him now. He gives some of the best speeches any of us have ever heard, yet that goes to a deaf ear when it comes to the support and things that others get. Hell, I bet if he had have been let in the office the Democrats would turn on him for being too boring or something.

I can tell you one thing though. If god forbid Kerry loses this time there is going to be a very strong push for Gore in 08.

4. New Direction
Nothing against Gore, but we need women and minorities up there. And not Hillary either. There are lots of good ladies and minority gents who are great speakers. Yes, I'd like to see Governor Granholm or Dianne Feinstein.

7. Would have voted "Hell Yes" had the option been there
Al Gore is our rightful president. I'm in no hurry to forget about that.

Besides, we are a big tent party, and we should showcase that, not try to camoflauge it.

Gore speaks for many.

He is not a liability.

9. No, nothing has been made official. Even so, it won't be carried
on the major TV stations. Al Gore has spoken for us the past 4 years unlike Clinton who has sat back writing his book and praising GW.

11. clinton has not just sat back
he has gone around the world helping with things like global aids. and he has not just been praising bush. he has criticized bush in a way that most people who don't like clinton could agree with.

10. Of course he should
Al Gore has been the voice of the Democratic Party who brings out the truth about the Bush regime and I thank him very much for his efforts!

15. Al got more votes than any other Democratic presidential candidate, ever..
He also received the second largest number of votes of any presidential candidate in history.

So hell yes, he should speak -- he's more than earned it.

16. No -- don't remind people of the 2000 selection and the DLC

We need to give the impression that the Democratic Party is no longer going to go along to get along with the pukes. Even if it isn't true, we at least need to give that impression in order to win.

17. Yes, but the Clintons
despite all the Right put them through, hold Right-leaning views on many issues. If Ron Reagan, Jr can speak at the D convention, maybe the Clintons can rally around Bush on invading Iraq.
