(... in the interest of full disclosure, I have developed a massive school girl like crush on our VP candidate so this is not flame-bait)
Senator and future VP John Edwards,
Your running mate and friend has just been viciously and personally attacked by our current President.
Kerry, who volunteered for the most hazardous of duties in Vietnam, who won a Silver Star and three purple hearts, has been accused of "abandoning our troups" by our AWOL "I can't find my records, oops they have been destroyed, please don't pay attention to the current death count in Iraq" President. And, by the by, he leveled a similiar charge in the South Carolina primary against John McCain in 2000.
Now, do your job, young Senator from NC. Show your outrage. And give it back in your best courtroom fashion to our lying, holier than thou, don't question me while I trash you, sorry excuse for a commander in chief.
1000 dead men and women demand you do so ....

This cheap attack from Bush is an opening to fire back. Let's hope Edwards rises to the occassion. I expect he will.
Considering Bush's own military record this is an amazing charge. I've also seen him going on about the $87 Billion saying Kerry voted against body armor for the troops. Why did BUSH send our soldiers to war without the proper equipment? Shouldn't we buy the body armor and armored Hummers BEFORE we start the war?
Fire when ready, Edwards. We are counting on you.

Bush is claiming that Kerry bragged about not supporting the troops.
(In reference to Kerry saying that he was proud that he and Edwards voted no on the 87 million appropriations bill)
Edwards discussed this on Today show with Katie Couric- beat the drum about Kerry's wartime record and patriotism and I believe he said that he and Kerry didn't approve of the way the war was being conducted and would not give Bush a blank check.
