I heard some women talking about Bush here in the office a few minutes ago--Talking quite loudly--I couldn't hear the specifics but I heard one of them say, "I think he's still drinking" and the other two laughed and shook their heads in agreement--then one of them pipped in, "or still sniffing coke up his nose." more laughter.

I kiddingly called out, "are you talking about the hero of 9/11?"

and one of them replied, "my ass--have you seen Farenheit 9/11?"

Yep I assured her I did and know what a dangerous and incompetent man is leading this country.

It's good to know there are others in the office who feel the same way.

2. i had a discussion on lihop/mihop with two strangers on the trolley..

riding home from the ballgame. I was shocked to hear them discussing the probability of LIHOP/MIHOP, and was more than happy to join in. The train was super-crowded, and I think some of the folks within earshot were a little uncomfortable, but nobody said anything to counter our discourse.

What do people mean by LIHOP/MIHOP? I've seen it before and am not quite sure what it means.

3. more and more neighbors.....

I've told y'all about my war vet neighbor and his wife (how they HAVE changed!)... but one of my VERY rich neighbors surprised me yesterday...
I have a spanish language Kerry sticker on my car (Unidos con Presidente Juan Kerry).... she came up to me and exclaimed, "cool... where'd ya get that?"
I told her at a meet up and gave her a second one I had... she leases her car but it's on her husband's new dual fuel car.

7. What's weird is I just read neo con lover Christopher Hitchens piece

in Vanity Fair. Says the rumour is * is a dry drunk. Mean and crazy. What's funny is Hitchens ends the piece with "you can't trust a quitter."

Meaning, Shrubie can't handle a drink, how can he handle being Prez.

Sigh... I suppose Hitchens is hedging his bets since it's becoming apparent BUSH IS GOING DOWN.
