What our Representatives are saying about Dick Cheney.
In case you missed the coverage of The US House of Representatives' Special Order Speeches last night on CSpan, here is a link to a transcript. The only thing missing was an odd moment when some aide came in and told the speaker to tell the constituents NOT to make any remarks about Cheney being dishonest. It was eerie and I see it isn't included in the transcript. Regardless, Jim McDermott proceeded with his speech as if it never happened. (Go Jim!)

1. I saw some of McDermott's speech yesterday, but wasn't watching during
that bizarre moment that you described. But I DO remember a similar interruption - had forgotten it until now - where the same kind of statement was made. It must not be a hard & fast rule yesterday, since the Senator, to his credit, ignored it.

I don't recall anything like that happening during the previous administration. Maybe it's some kind of "courtesy" rule they voted upon themselves when the rethugs took over Congress.

The hard rightwing is hopelessly thin-skinned.
